Good morning...
I'm just wondering who is really up at this hour..
I know my princess friend Patty said she doesn't have a 330a on her clock lol..
Wannabe is always stirring around in the early hours of the morning...this mentor of mine....I want to be just like him when I grow up:)
after my 16 hr day I headed home...an hour drive then only to arrive at my home ... wide awake.. running around...empting the dishwasher, cleaning etc... I had finished charting and rechecking my intake for that day...I began to watch more of Keto Connect and journaling...geez, they say the crazy ones never sleep I'm beginning to believe this lol
I finally fell asleep around 1:15 and woke up at 4:15..headed to make coffee and here I am...awake.. slightly exhausted and my clarity is null...but I'm up for my day.
I don't feel compelled to weigh in yet but heck its day one of 30..I don't feel compelled to exercise but its day one and I will exercise...I'm more into my water intake now and its becoming more of a habit...
I'm going to practice more of my daily intake charting and have more of a base on my macros its a great day to begin this so I don't aimlessly eat because I'm in an exhausted type mode.
Best way to get out of the fog this morning ..begin by moving around drinking my water.. take my shower ... well exercise ... yep that would pump the blood to my brain.... and wake me up:)
Question....Hubby and I are going away for a long weekend the end of this week... up north of us... Amish Country...we will be visiting for the first time in this area...
Now they are known for their comfort style food...carb country ...
I have been reading many of the menus for dinning just a to be ahead of the game and if I have to dine on salads all week I will... breakfast will be easy...and when are out and about on one of our excursions...almost always on our way to our destination we make stop at the Cracker Barrel..My daughter when she is not attending class serves at one...I know that menu well lol
when your traveling or away from your safety net...your home.. what do you..take...with you or purchase to go with you for your time away.
I will have my water bottle with me everywhere I go.., with alarms that will be going off to remind me to drink ...
I will take some pork rinds ..block cheese...boil some eggs..my own salad dressing..no shame in me at all I will pull that bottle out of my bag while dinning lol
my heavy cream too...we have a small travel coolers so please don't worry about all the dairy products going bad and we always reserve a place with a miro/fridge at the very least.
I take my own small 4 cup coffee maker.. now a days these one cup wonders don't cut it... and the pods to make coffee in well, it taste like dirt to me...
I'm going to purchase some macadamia nuts..sliced turkey breast too.
So let me know what you take or purchase..
I will always erase mine for better suggestions ..which happens a lot when I get the experts of FS giving me their input.
Have a fun and productive week everyone.. its going to be 63 here this Thursday...I'm thrilled;)

Great breakfast with the Amish, and look at what you've packed. I'm sure they make a great hamburger (without the bun). I think you've got this

Yeah Greg and I begin usually in Feb with small weekenders and then wait until it warms up for the longer stays...we are avid classic car people we love the classic car shows.. so we do that on weekends visit places with in 300 miles...no we don't own one... but would like to..its a dream of ours.My hubby is a huge history buff so we pick places to learn about the town itself..we love the architecture of the older buildings and thelocals love to share their stories... its a very interesting type of travel . Your a lucky girl to Patty..you have that honey bunny of a sweet man George;)

I like meat sticks , cajun, also pork rinds, cucumbers - Devil those eggs while you are at it. When you are out, see if they will grill some food instead of frying - fajitas are great while you are out at the restaurant - soup is great at the restaurant , anything good without a bun is good, chinese buffet has lots of healthy foods at it, just watch your intake, shrimp boiled not fried , no breading , with hot sauce , butter, and meso paste (Andy Griffith yummy good), steak, fish, california pizza announced cauliflower crust pizza, got to try that - Tunafish beef jerky, turkey jerkey, pork rinds, nuts if they are on your diet, breakfast food, whip cream, spinach keche, how do you spell keesh? - kfc baked chicken, rotisserie chicken, finger lickin chicken, Lol, barbeque you made before time, poppers with chicken breast, cream cheese, jalepeno, hot or cold - turkey,- tuna fish - meat wheels with meat bottom layer, cream cheese , jalepeno jelly or green pickles paste etc in the middle, roll up and cut into 1 inch by 1/2 wheels - stick a toothpick in it - smoked meats are great - delish - Also a lot of food stores have deli counters with lunch or dinner meals , you pick the sides - 7-8 bucks or so a dinner - Good keto fast food places I like, hardees, arbys, - discard the buns etc - Nah, there ain't no choices - LOL Have fun on your trip

Yep RR I'm not afraid of carb country also 3 years ago when I did my atkins plan I was taken buns off of hamburgers all the time... I like to feed the animals the bread so I save it for them. Will be in search of antiques while we are investigating the area..want to go back when its warm again when more things will be open then.. hubby use to have a small shop on the side sometimes we will luck out and find a treasure for hardly nothing and sell it to make a profit... I know absolutely nothing about antiques but I love to look at it all and hubby teaches me his knowledge of them... ;)

Thank you John you are amazing with all your info... there are several cheese shops we will definitely go...still looking for one similar to the Cheese Haven in Sandusky we spent a long weekend up there visiting Put in Bay with my daughter and her BF in Sept and had a blast.. neat area.. The Cheese Haven had so many different cheeses and meats..sausages...salsa etc. and samples all over the place..seems there are similar shops in the Amish country and we are planning to visit them...I can have cheese..but no crackers lol.
