45poundlooser's Journal, 01 August 2021

Well, my all time highest weight is right here.
I am in a huge I don’t give a 💩 funk.
Our 21 year old daughter passed away 2 months ago and I just stopped everything. Total life changing event for our family and everyone around us.
I still work to the best of my ability but still struggle focusing in. Have totally let my food and exercise thoughts just go to crap. Worse than before.
Now at 1/8 of a ton a renewed focus on life and starting to understand my child would want me to keep going in life I am ready to start anew.

God speed and strength to you! My uncle just lost his job 2nd child at the age of 35 [covid complications] his first son was 18. Life truly isn't fair a lot of the times. I'm sorry that you and your family are going through that! But as you said she would want you to be in the best health possible! Use her spirit and the memories that can never be taken from you to fuel your way back to where you want to be! So many times I think we all look to far down the road. Look at it as a battle that has to be won one meal at a time, one day at a time. To me that simplifies the battle! It's really you versus yourself! You can do this, you just have have believe!

Big hugs and condolences on your loss. I cannot imagine having the strength to get myself out of bed in the morning, much less to get in shape if I had your sorrow to bear. You are absolutely right to focus forward and positive. Wishing you strength, courage, joy, and peace on the road ahead.

All my love to you and your family. Try setting smaller goals (like 10% of your weight), it helps not to get discouraged. You honor your daughter taking care of yourself. If you need any help we're here for you.

I can't imagine what you're going through. The only thing I offer here is that maybe try to be patient with yourself as you work through your grief. It's a personal, unique journey that only you can travel. My heartfelt condolences to you and your family.

Prayers for your strength and healing. Listen to that precious voice that you expressed in your last sentence - our daughter would want you to go on. It IS time to start anew. You have the knowledge and strength to do this in loving memory of your beloved child.
