how awesome. I miss the zoo. ours was boring last time. normally a 4 hour day. everything was locked up and we saw the entire thing in an hour. kids werent amused.

I enjoyed going to the zoo several times this year when the weather was nice.
Now we are in winter and it is so cold and gloomy! I am counting the days to spring!

Princess, I went by myself, it was 3:00 p.m. and about 70° perfect for an outdoor lunch. Bubbe, our summers are so hot it's miserable, but our winters are very mild, supposed to be in the 70s all week. Kmkj, I love giraffes too they're so beautiful! Liv and Carol, I became a zoo member this year for exactly that reason. There are very few people during the week, so it is peaceful, safe and very beautiful. Hebrews, I'm so sorry your visit was disappointing, what a shame. Houston Zoo is pretty big, I don't think I could possibly go through it all in half a day.

Fritz and Tahoe, it is a great way to get out of the house safely and I did have a good time, it lifted my spirits! Mountainman, that's funny. Living in the middle of a city, it is the breakroom indeed!

nice Shir, I miss the Philadelphia Zoo ...it was a favorite of the whole family....although it would be too cold there now....I am going to look for the closest zoo to us in Sarasota...we have beautiful gardens etc, which is lovely this time of year also.

Beautiful pictures, and I suspect it was a good time to watch people as well as the animals. I find I feel I can talk to any stranger... Comment on their dog or hat... Just interaction outside of the house. 😁 I'm glad your have this lovely place to go. 👌❤️
