65 year old woman who has struggled with weight since a child, had great times of my life when I could eat anything and never gain, but at this time of my life really having a hard time of it, need to lose at least another 40 lbs for health reasons...I am doing in 10 lb goals so it doesn't seem so overwhelming. I am following a low cal diet combined with 60 to 90 minutes a day of exercise (biking, walking, etc) have lost 12 lbs since Jan 2...good luck to everyone trying to improve their health!
Since this posting, my husband became very ill and is improving, but I had to restart, no excuses, I was just too darn tired to do everything I had to do...so back to 10 lb increments and doing ok...oh, I added some aerobics...good luck all! PS...I have decided to just put the goal weight in total instead of the 10 lb increments! Slow and steady wins the race!

PS...since the above, husband has had some set backs etc, but we are both following same WOE, low calorie ...and I have changed my goal weight to 142, which a range of 135 to 140 optimum, do not want to be in the overweight catergory of BMI forever...successful journey to all!

what is your goal weight, 5'3 and 5'4 ladies?
I had previously said 135...thinking on this since then (January 2020) and I believe if I feel really well and my health remains stable, the new number will be 140-145. I will be 66 next month, who knows, I could change my mind again! A woman's prerogative...Laughing BTW, I am 5'3" and medium boned.

I am 5'3 and am doing my ultimate goal in 10 lb increments, end result I am looking for is about 140 give or take a few lbs. Current weight 172.4

Hello all, just saying nice to meet all of you who are on this journey to good health. I have lost 12 lbs since January 2, and have about another 40 to go. I am doing it in small goals of 10lbs at a time. Good Luck everyone! Oh, I am following a routine of low cal/increased exercise, nothing fancy.
