Berries are low carb, high fiber and delicious this time of year! I wouldn't be able to give them up either!

Thanks guys. It was an excellent trial, but not for me! I don’t want to feel like I’m missing out. I already gave up pasta, potatoes, bread, and crackers.... cookies, chips, cake and pie.... brats, burgers, pizza, real ice cream.... meatloaf, meatballs, steak..... BEER and WINE.... alcohol of any kind.... Cereal, grits, oatmeal, pancakes..... bacon....
All cheese except for mozzarella
All chocolate- carob or prune instead
I’ve been eating chicken, fruit, veggies, and skim milk. Fat free yogurt, or sometimes Full fat Greek yogurt. Turkey bacon, tuna fish. Hard and soft boiled eggs. Coconut, raw. Popcorn, stovetop popped with Evoo. Turkey slices.... salads made with spinach, romaine, red leaf.... and Evoo dressings. I call it South Beach, but I don’t know what it is really. I just do what I want, which is different than before ...

Looks great! I’ve been doing my own thing too and have lost consistently - I’m very pleased. I’m a vegetarian, so I’m eating tons of veggies - my favorite is a taco salad with black beans and cumin flavored cauliflower as the “meat” with tons of lettuce and tomatoes. I’ve replaced my high cal/fat snacks with Greek yogurt/berries and popcorn. Not many folks are going low fat/veggie based anymore - it’s the best fit for me and working great!

Do what works for you! Keto is working for me now but I plan on reintroducing quinoa, pinto beans, lentils and popcorn. Also going to drink raw (from the nut) coconut milk when I’m on the islands. A glass a day is OK (for me 😊)!

You tried and that counts for a lot. I can't give my fruit up no way! so I feel ya.. I didn't know keto couldn't have fruit!! I am 100% certain now I'll never keto I am fruity person. 😎

I pop popcorn in the microwave. put a little less than a quarter cup into a standard brown paper lunch bag, no oil of any kind required, fold down the top of the bag several folds and stand it up in the microwave. set on 3 minutes but do NOT walk away. Stick around and listen for the pops to slow down to one every few seconds. All MW'S are different but after a few times you will hear when to stop yours just before it burns. Shake your favorite flavors in the bag, cinnamon with a touch of stevia is my favorite, but even garlic power, or try other seasonings work. If you absolutely have to use butter try using it too but I'm weird, according to my husband, I hate butter on popcorn, makes it soggy. I keep our popcorn kernels in the freezer to keep them fresh. And no, you don't have to thaw them out before popping them this way.

Thanks guys. I don’t know what I’d do if I didn’t have a fruit and veggies rich diet. I felt sad😅 There’s where 90% of my carbs come from, and my calories. I gave up all processed foods that I can think of.... starch and grains all kicked to the curb. I’ve replaced cake and pizza with apples and spinach, and it has been wonderful! Grilled chicken, fish, tuna fish.... lean meats. My sister has had her gallbladder out, and heart disease is on both sides so I definitely don’t feel like going high in those foods I’d be at risk. My weight loss is so slow.. I guess I just wanted to see if keto would be better. But I didn’t even last 24 hours. And so, I’m seeing my scale creep down again, ounce by ounce. But I’m back in my comfort zone. I love this site, and all of you guys. I’ve really enjoyed reading these comments

Adef- thanks! I read your posts every day and your fasting is incredible. I’m a recovering bulimic anorexic so it’s not a smart option for me. I admire your strength.
