regardless of what anyone might tell you... one cheat day can and will screw up an entire weeks worth of progress if you let it . it's easy to eat 5k calories when you go out and if you do it two days in a row for some people that's easily an entire weeks worth of calories right there in a couple of meals. hang in there. 💪🏻 you got this

Thanks so much All_Pain. I need to totally restructure my weekends to see the progress I want. Almonds, whey protien, and veggies don't mean sh*t if I eat 4x that amount for 3 nights straight. Thanks so much for the motivation dude! 💯

I try to do 1200 calories a day too and it sucks. I sometimes do it but I'm usually over. Seldom under. I can't exercise a lot like I used to so weight loss happens slow. Eating away from home is problematic for me. I wish I could but it doesn't work for me. So I know your frustration. You are doing awesome though and it does get harder the closer you get to goal. Just keep plugging away - you look great!

JC_suburbangothcatmom Wow your workout sked is great! Weekends. Ya think we could eliminate them? I'd like that. I'm old and have a hard time sitting all day so earlier this year I bought a Gaiam seat off Amazon. It is a yoga flexible rubber seat that people use in offices that keeps your spine in a neutral position and still works out your inner core while working/sitting all day. bought it for a long drive (12 hrs) and I was really impressed. I got out of the car with no stiffness and pain. Worked for me. Not selling. I was just impressed because that was a long haul for me in a little car.

the great gainful employment/healthy body paradox... right there with you. BF wants me to try a treadmill desk, I can stand at the one I have, but movement is still minimal. you're doing great though.

Ditto Mike. Best line in Downton Abbey was uttered by Lady Grantham “What is a weekend?” 😂 All kidding aside, you are Just Crushing it, JC 👍❣️ Maybe that what JC means. 🤷♂️💪💪

Whew. Thanks everyone (except Mike you butthead 😂😂) for the reality check. It's really just come down to brass tacks that my weekends of pizza 'n drinks are costing me the definition and couple of lbs I wanna shed. What I really appreciate is that even though I don't have a ton to lose you all are super supportive.

Aw Sk, thank you! 😊 I used to work at a church and as an atheist having the initials JC was hilarious 😂

Butthead is my middle name. FYI, I don’t believe anything I don’t see with my own eyes. 😉

I have a hard time have Ng treats because I can't stop! I swear if I have a slice of pizza or a sweet treat it takes me 3 days to recover! It's like an addiction for me...I can't get enough..

If you are gaining muscle and not losing- are you losing inches?

Hey DP, I'm definitely recomping. But my weekends are probably 2-3x my normal intake so it always feels like I start over every Monday. Thankfully I'm not really gaining- staying within 1-2 lbs depending on the day. Any good advice?

Just finished reading a technical journal involving metabolism. The bottom line is that exercise is good for your systems, but the only way to lose weight is to eat less than you burn. If you are not losing, or gaining, then what you are eating is maintaining the weight you have, even if you are building muscle. To lose weight, take in fewer calories than you do now. You know what is doing it: your weekends are derailing your weight loss. Trying to get my eating under control now, but I know that when I take in 1100 calories average, I lose weight. More than 1300 a day, I gain. My body is mathematical and follows the laws of physics. How do you know you are gaining muscle? Just curious.

Nothing wrong with softness in the belly. hahahaha. Abs are overrated. Muscle and strength and happiness with your diet matters more. If the abs come with that, cool.

Just responding - none of us are alone in this - you look fantastic and healthy and if you are staying within 2-3 pounds - it is the end of winter - in the spring everyone gets more active. Hey - you did well this winter ! Congratulations.

Hey abbadabba, well, I don't have calipers or a health coach so my assumption on gaining muscle comes from the mirror. My legs, butt, and arms have been doing good as I've been focusing on pushing weights and protien as much as I can. So I suppose it's just a perception that makes me feel better about my body image 😅
