When I hit 55 a few years ago, I stopped coaching and playing soccer (4-6 nights/week), and I didn't replace it with any activities. My desk job during the day just wasn't enough. Fast forward a few years, and I had gained over 35 lbs, felt tired all the time and couldn't fit into my pants. My wife, who is really fit and briskly walks 5-7 miles/day, told me to stop complaining and buy some bigger clothes.
Thank goodness I took the other route!
So after tipping the scales at 190lb in April 2019, I finally realized I needed to commit to eating better and exercising more. I'm blessed with a naturally slender and lean body type, and I've felt best at around 155 lbs. At 50, I could still eat anything and in large quantities, especially carbs - beer & chips. Boy was I foolish to think that my eating habits wouldn't have to change.
My ultimate goal is to get really fit again and recapture a bit of youth. I'm currently in maintenance mode on the weight loss side (PHASE 1) but need to get going on building and toning up my muscle (PHASE 2).

Finally, I'm super glad to have found this app a few days ago. I've used a few other apps over that past year, but this one is by far the best! Your journeys are inspriring me to take the next step of my journey.

UPDATE: 2020-NOV-14
- first reached goal weight of 154lb on 2019-NOV-22
- lowest weight (too low IMHO) was 149.9lbs on 2020-JUN-02
- updated goal weight range from 150-154lbs to 152-155lbs
- struggling to begin PHASE 2; motivation must come from within.
