I am twenty-five years old and married to the military. My husband is in the U.S. Navy, but he is currently out to sea. We have been married for almost three years now.

I am an English as a Second Language teacher at the elementary level. I absolutely love my job, and I love my kids.

I have been battling with weight issues my entire life. When I was 19, I lost almost sixty pounds and was at the lowest and healthiest point for about four years. I got married, and just let it all go. The move to a new state, and the fact that I stopped working out regularly, were the main culprits to my weight gain. It sneaked up on me, and before I knew it, I was back at my old weight, and then some.

My husband and I are getting ready to try for a baby, and I want to start getting back to my old weight before getting pregnant. I don't want to have a dangerous pregnancy, with the possibility of gestational diabetes and other complications.

Entering recipes rather than ingredients
^^ Yup, that's what I did. I created a few meals that I know I eat on a regular basis. That way instead of going to look for all the ingredients for a turkey and ham sandwich, I just click on my saved meal and it adds them all for me. It works out too even if I made a change to it from the original. I just add or take out a few ingredients.

Feeling like a Total Fatty Today!
I felt the same way last time I tried "dieting". This time around, I'm allowing myself to have all those foods, but once a week and when I choose to. Like today I ate 3/4 a double bacon cheeseburger from Burger King. So heavenly, but I stayed within my calorie range and it was pretty empowering knowing that I CHOSE to eat that delicious burger so I didn't feel so depressed about it afterwards. Very Happy

Memorial Day Meal
We grilled out on the porch, and I had my roommate fix my burger according to how I wanted it. I made sure it was four ounces of extra lean ground beef and for the bun I had the sandwich thins from Arnold (only 100 calories and 5g fiber!). I grilled some mushrooms and topped my burger with lettuce, tomato, and a slice of swiss cheese. It was the best burger ever! I even had some tater tots with my meal and a Pepsi. Hey, once in a while meals like these can be just what you need! Smile

Anyone else have the fat secret app on their mobile phone?
I don't have it for my phone, but I have it for my iPad. I totally love it! I'm always around a computer, if not, I have my iPad on me at all times. Makes logging in my food quite easy.

Lunch today??
I was running late today, but I always keep Lean Cuisine tv dinners as back up in case this happens. This way, I'm still able to eat a (somewhat) nutritious meal. Today I had the Santa Fe-Style Rice & Beans...omg, it was sooo good! As one who LOVES Mexican food, this was totally tasty! I don't even remember buying this particular tv dinner, but I'm so glad I did. It was super yummy!
