I am soon to be 40 years of age (will have to change my group, haha).
I am married, going on 10 years but been with him 20.
We have two kids together, Daughter soon to be 20, and Son soon to be 18.
I work in a hospital as a Medical Office Assistant, and see first hand what obesity can do to a person, scary.
I want to meet my grandkids some day, I want to be healthy, I deserve to be healthy. My new life has been hard, challenging and rewarding. I am feeling like I have more energy, I am eating healthy so far, so good. I am excited to be on this journey. I belive in ME!!

All very good advice. Gwen said it right when she said YOU have to want to do it. Not cause the doctor says so, not because society says so, because YOU say so. It's time to get healthy!! You deserve to be healthy, you deserve to live, you deserve to be sexy again!! We all do and I believe also that the positivity within this website is a true inspiration to keep going. Trust us we all have good and bad days. I have trouble staying motivated to exercise but I deserve to be healthy and I keep moving. Don't beat yourself up! Prove to yourself that YOU truly want this for yourself, make up your mind and get busy changing your life for the better!!! good luck we are all hoping for the best outcome for you!!! I believe in YOU!!!

One person says diet pop is okay and others say stay away from anything with sweetner in it? I suppose along with the other points made about this article it is questionable. My question is, if we are to stay away from fruit juice, and diet pop..what the hell are we suppose to drink? Water? I can only drink so much water, I do the crystal light thing to help, I drink 4-6 cups of water a day, but I have a one diet pop a day too, to break up the monotony of water. Please tell me, this is not SOOO bad, or do I really need to cut this out too?????

If you're watching your calorie intake, the bariatric educators say if you hit a plateau, decrease your calorie intake by 100 you will start losing again and exercise of course. If your able. Good Luck!
