I'm a 41 year old man living in SE Minnesota. Since I graduated college, I hit the ground running with little time to eat well and even less time to exercise. I used to be very active and it was not unusual for me to strap on my roller blades and hit the trails for a 15 mile trek or take my mountain bike out for some off-trail riding.

Over the past 5 years, I changed careers and found myself becoming less active and less interested in doing really anything. I used to be trim, muscular and happy with my physique, but now I'm saddened by what I have become.

I stumbled across this website by accident while looking for the best exercise and diet routine for me and I got excited about losing weight and getting fit again. I even got a friend to join and we will encourage each other to move to a healthier level.

An so it begins! I joined a few days ago and today is the first day of my new heathier eating habit. I don't like the word diet because, that implies that you are doing something for a short amount of time. I'm looking to make permanent changes here. I need to loose fat, lower my blood pressure and become more active.

I anticipate I will make some new friends in this transformation!
