Hey hey... 46 now... and I've kept the weight off for the most part (beats my "best" of 280!) and still feeling decent despite the years doing their best to make me feel older. I'm updating to set some short- and long-term goals here regarding LBM and BF% (lean body mass and body fat percentage respectively). I'm interested to check in on them in 3-5 years and see how I'd progressed. ;)

Now
LBM 162 lbs
Fat 51 lbs
Weight 213 lbs

Short-Term
LBM 183 lbs
Fat 17 lbs
Weight 200 lbs

Long-Term
LBM 202 lbs
Fat 18 lbs
Weight 220 lbs

Wow, old profile Bio down there. :) I'm now 43 and have *three* kids! They're currently ages 2.5, 11 and 13. Still having fun and hoping this will be the last time I have to work at weight loss. I'm fully intending to keep it this time and I'm making a promise by setting an aggressive goal for myself. If I hit that goal I'll be the lightest I've been in my adult life so there will be absolutely no going back!
Feel free to write. I'm happy to chat!
---------------------
I'm a 37 year old male who has always been relatively fit and enjoyed weightlifting. The problem is that most of my exercise came from running around with my kids (5 and 7) and sports. I've always had the problem of weight slowly creeping up on me, but it had never been a huge issue to me until a few years ago. I had always thought I could take it off whenever I wanted, but that time never came up. Now, with some major changes taking place in my life, I am finally at that point.
Wish me luck!

lose 2 pounds a week
This may come off as slightly harsh and I apologize but this is a pet peeve of mine. I struggle with this message with my clients and it's hard to get this message disseminated. Smile Calories are too simplistic of an approach. You can cut to some low number, whatever that might be, but your body is not going to continue to lose "weight" continually. Besides, be careful what "weight" really is. In a reduced calorie situation you are going to shed that which is metabolically expensive - yes, muscle. A great book I can recommend is "Calorie Myth" by Jonathan Bailor. There's more to it than calories. Focus on real food, metabolic improvement, and the weight will come off. Focusing on the numbers can lead to short-term success and long-term failure. Quality life over quantity.

Throwback Thursday!
Great progress on the numbers! I'll have to post a pic. Didn't know that was possible here.

Intermittent Fasting & Coffee?
I should have noted that it's important to understand that coconut oil is not really an MCT, though. It's probably mostly C12 and better. Still, it's highly available and cheap.

Intermittent Fasting & Coffee?
Check out Bulletproof Coffee. That's the actual protocol. MCTs and butter.

I'm doing something similar with the DailyHIIT. I love it.
