I'm a 29 year old college graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Ancient, Medieval, and Renaissance Studies. I'm a former high school athlete and now I find myself lacking the time to get out and active. When I was 18 years old, I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes and take daily medications to maintain healthy levels. I now work in an office setting as a Volunteer Coordinator for Community Hospice, a locally based non-profit Hospice Organization in my community. We have recently begun a company wide health initiative with AccelWell in Columbus, Ohio. Time to get serious again.

Hydroxycut
I just purchased Hydroxycut as I know a few people who have had good results with it. I'm already watching what I'm eating and exercising daily but am not seeing results, like at all, so I thought it would be worth a try to add it to the more sensible plan I'm already on. At worst, I figure, it's a $15 experiment that doesn't help reduce my weight. At best, I'd like to see some quicker results that help to keep me motivated, which is my biggest problem. I'm easily frustrated and discouraged so any kind of weight loss will be huge encouragement for me to keep going. I DO NOT intend to take these pills forever, I'm just looking for a "jumpstart" to try and help get me excited and motivated right away. I'll stop back and let you know how the experiment goes!

when do you weigh in?
I always take my "official" weight first thing in the morning. But, I'm starting to do better about not obsessing and doing it every single morning. I like seeing the shift over a few days time.

I'm thinking about investing in a FitBit and was wondering if anyone has one or has heard anything about one?!

Any info would be great! I've looked at the official website but I want some real info lol. =)

What % of my my RDI would I need to be consuming daily in order to loose 2+lbs a week?
I have the same problem, when I noticed I over restrict myself my weight will bump up a small bit or it will stay the same, even if I increase exercise. Your body thinkg you're not going to feed it anymore, so it slows everything down in order to stop using your fat stores for nutrition. Are you doing much exercise? I noticed there isn't much recorded in your journal. Walking/jogging is one of the BEST ways to burn excess body fat, because moderate exercise causes your body to use your fat stores effectively and quickly. Good luck!
