I'm a 41 yo mother of two. I lost 53 pounds from April 2009 through February 2010 by doing a combination of Weight Watchers and exercising (I started cycling after not being on a bike for 20 years!) I got down to about 116 pounds which was very difficult to hold, and ended up maintaining my weight at around 134 for about a year.
Then I hit a hiccup. My 11-year-old daughter got cancer last August. She had a liver transplant in February 2013 and is now cancer free and recovering. Meanwhile, I weigh 152 pounds and have just resumed cycling this month. I feel heavy and slow, but I love my bike and I am grateful to have the time to ride it again. I'm also lucky to have my health. I was almost Ana's living donor which would've kept me off my bike for most of the season.
