07 August 2009
Yesterday was not such a good day getting back on track. I had internal meetings all day with lunch brought in and then a business dinner and ballgame last night. I really hate these chaotic days, but I know they are bound to happen. I feel like I'm losing control again and I hate how that feels. I'm going to use this journal to track and motivate myself. I always have a healthy breakfast but today I didn't have anything at home to pack, so I will go to Au Bon Pain and get something from their portion control selection. I'm searching the WW site for a healthy dinner recipe.
I'm also going back to the gym today...NO EXCUSES. I was doing so well and I'm not going to jeopardize my hard work.
Grocery shopping this weekend to get some healthy wholesome foods back into the house.
Wish me luck.

I'm back. I joined WW and was trying to use their website for a while to see which I like better. I like it here. Maybe because I'm used to it or maybe it is all the support you get on this site. This was a slow week, but I have been having some personal issues (no excuse) and I haven't had time to really focus on me this week. I'm off and running to a new week. I need to get back into my routines, I feel lost without them. Hope all are well and I'm glad to be back.

I'm looking forward to my first WW meeting tomorrow. Gotta get to the 8am meeting so I can get home and start on yard work and have enough time in the afternoon to get in a workout. This has been a hard week for me. Yesterday would have been my father's 63 birthday. He passed away less than 5 months ago, so I've been a bit glum all week with no desire to exercise and I haven't been sleeping all that well either. I had myself a good cry last night and woke up with a much better attitude. Tonight is date night for my hubby and I. We are going for sushi so that I can eat healthier than if we went to some Mexican or Italian place. I can get sushi and he can have his chicken with snow peas or something like that. We are heading to the race track/casino after for a night of gaming. Woo Hoo.
I always dread the weekends because I get off track, but hopefully since we are sticking at home to get some yard work and painting done I'll eat better and get some exercise in.

I'm officially back down to my pre-vacation weight. : )
I've started tracking WW points. I have a 25 daily allowance which seems really low with 35 flex points. It's interesting to see how the foods I thought were right for me are loaded with points. I think one of the things I'll get from WW is the focus to eat more fruits and veggies and less processed diet food. That's a good thing.
It's great to be back on track.

The vacation weight appears to be coming off pretty easy which is a relief. I'm still joining Weight Watchers though. I've got so much going on at the moment that I really need that accountability each week as a little extra motiviation. I think I've convinced my mom to join as well. I think she could use some help getting motivated. I haven't gotten back to the gym since vacation, but I have been working out at home. There is so much yard work to be done just from being away for a week. I swear someone is feeding my weeds miracle grow when I'm not looking. LOL
If the rain stops I'll be doing some good old fashioned yard work this evening in place of structured exercise. I'm wearing my heart monitor though while I do the work so I can accurate reflect the calories burned.
