Start Weight
237.0 lb
Lost so far: 4.8 lb

Current Weight
232.2 lb
Performance: gaining 0.1 lb a week

Goal Weight
215.0 lb
Still to go: 17.2 lb
My normal weight is 195 to 200. Last two years of school and recently a shoulder surgery bumped me up to 219. Pants are not fitting and I refuse to buy new clothes at least at this weight. Doc has given the ok to get back on my road bike and in 4 to 5 weeks back on my mountain bike. Once I reach 200 it is some new slacks and shirts. Then from there out just maintenance to maintain the weight. Lower than 195 then I have to watch my eating so much that it becomes a chore in order to maintain my level of biking I like to do.

Current weight 214 lbs. 9-10-2010
Short term goal is 200 lbs.
Long term goal is 195 lbs.

Impatience and losing weight
Only problem I see with fad diets is that when you go off the diet you gain weight back. Be changing the eating habits and eating say healthier you are more apt to keep the weight off because it becomes a life style change. Usually the weight loss here is slower but consistent and can be increased or decreased by the amount of exercise we do. Face it. We leave a very sedentary life style now days. The one thing people forget is the weight didn't go on real fast why expect it to come off fast. I would rather lose weight consistently than see huge or large drops and then plateau and then slowly loose it.
