24 September 2017

I'm not sure why it's so difficult for me to remember to do this damn thing every morning. I was running a bit behind so it pushes this back as a priority.

I flipped my routine around this AM, I drank my broth, did my HIIT and then came in and made my coffee and eggs. I'm not sure if it was correlated but my coordination on my jumping of the rope was not what it has been, I don't think I had a single interval where I didn't trip myself up. Either way, I think I may do this so the workout is out of the way first thing each morning and it's truly fasted.

I seem to have some ice burns on my shoulders, I wasn't entirely sure if it was muscle soreness, but it appears to be red and it's located on a line right where my shoulders were sitting in the ice 2 days ago. It's uncomfortable but doesn't seem to be serious.

I had probably close to 2# of ribeye trim yesterday for lunch. I was a little hungry but not enough to eat after my shift so I held off. I just had a glass of wine and browsed the web for a short while as I drank it.

I am grateful for finding jump rope as an exercise.

I am grateful for having such a great dog.

I am grateful for having such a great partner.

I will turn my hobby of roasting coffee into a side hustle.

i forgot to journal yesterday. I've been sleeping in until about 8 the past few mornings, it's putting a crunch on my mornings a bit. My alarm goes off but I just sleep for a little bit more. Guess I need it. It's a change from waking up at 6:30 each day without fail. I did have a hard time falling back asleep once Katie got up for work.

I didn't get a chance to eat a real meal yesterday at work. I had some headcheese before I left the house, but that was really only about 4oz. I snagged some cheese, salami and a few meatballs at the cookout, but that was really it. I had a full avocado 2 days ago and boy was my gas horrible, I was bloated and uncomfortable. The carb experiment might be a bad idea...

I had a small bit of knee pain during the last little bit of my run while I was on the dirt road going downhill. I stopped and walked for a short time and things felt better. My legs are definitely sore this AM.

I am grateful for sleep.

I am grateful for podcasts.

I am grateful for the beautiful fall weather.

I will turn my hobby of coffee roasting into an entrepreneurial endeavor.

I didn't have a lot of hunger yesterday, I was a bit hungry after the Moonshine Bandits show but I didn't want to stop somewhere and the thought of a burger or wings wasn't enough for me to stop and get something. By the time I got home I really wasn't hungry so I just got ready for bed.

I slept in a bit this morning.

I did a lot of driving around yesterday to do errands, could be why I wasn't too hungry since I was sitting most the day.

I went back to french pressed coffee and the product is much better and consistent. The convenience of the single cup brewer was nice but it was so inconsistent it was very frustrating. One day would be too strong, the next would be water.

I had a few carbs yesterday, Adam's peanut butter with dark chocolate squares dipped in it. It was good, no cravings later in the day aside from the thought of more peanut butter, but it was fleeting. My thought is to titrate up my carbohydrate over the next couple weeks.

My radio went tits up, sort of. Long story short, Crutchfield is sending me a new one to swap out which was great of them. I didn't even have to ask.

I am grateful for music.

I am grateful for awesome customer service.

I am grateful for water.

I will turn my hobby of roasting coffee into a side hustle and sell my fresh roasted coffee.

1 meal yesterday, 6 patties from Blazing Onion, I was craving burgers again.

Weight is up 2# but that's not a big deal really as the low I had was after a run and probably involved some water loss.

Yesterday was a stressful one the first half of the day as Katie was on an emotional roller coaster, she eventually snapped out of it once we left the house but it was a tough morning.

I did my HIIT after Katie went to bed around 9:30pm and afterwards I felt like going for a jog so I ran around the neighborhood for about 30 minutes in the rain. It felt good. Afterwards I did my cold pool and then the hot tub.

I am continually considering using my FitnessGenes testing nutritional results to formulate my diet to a more paleo/primal style diet.

I am grateful for waking up, thinking I had to be at work and then realizing I'm off today.

I am grateful for life.

I am grateful for French press coffee (switched back).

I will turn my hobby of coffee roasting into a side hustle and an entrepreneurial endeavor.
