I'm determined to get my health in better shape. Unfortunately I have several health-related issues: high blood pressure, thyroid disease and now pre-diabetic. I'm looking at 2008 to be my turn around year. I'm an extremely busy professional and eat whatever is convenient and don't exercise. So this is really going to be a challenge - but I'm up for it because I don't want to live with the alternative.
I've been overweight all of my life. I weighed 35 lbs. at 11 months old. The only time I had any sustainable weight loss was in my early 20's when I drank nothing but coffee and liquor, took diet pills, smoked like a crazy person and danced all night. Those days are gone and now in my mid-50s I weigh more than I ever had. God I hate post menopause.
