Hey guys! I'm back! Had to redo my account! So..... I'm 22 yrs. old, married to my beautiful, sexy Texan husband Lyndon Johnson. I'm Puertorican & Dominican from NYC, lived in Miami for 8 yrs, that's what I call home, but hubby and I are both in Fayetteville, AR right now finishing up our bachelors in architecture. Soon as we're done (graduating this coming spring!!! yay!!!) we'll be back to Miami! Ok... so I was typically in the 130 range until I hit 17 yrs, had a medical incident that caused me to rocket to 180lbs. Lost it and got down to 145ish, got married, caught up in Architecture (aka, archiTORTURED), and shot back up to 170!!!! So now I'm back on track, getting my *ish* together, and trying to get back down to the healthiest I've ever been... a solid, lean, fit 125 lbs. Found out about Fat Secret via the Calorie Counter app on the Android System, and lovin it so far!!! Bout to start P90X!!!! Trying to really kick butt and Bring It This Summer!!!! Can't wait to see the results and change my life forever. I love God and thank Him for every opportunity He gives me to meet the goals He's instilled in me!

Greasy
OMG! That's so funny! I did that yesterday! Had a craving for a burger so I made it myself and put a small amount of fat free cheddar. It was so yummy! But I did consume more calories than I usually do yesterday. It was the cookies I ate with hubby that did it! But no regrets! Gotta live too! I'm so proud of you k8yk! You've been doing so well! I remember when I first joined FS and how you were doing so well then, and your progress continues! Congratulations girl! Just 6 more lbs to your goal!

Greasy
Ignore the craving and eat something that's not greasy, but that satisfies your hunger. You have to gear up your own will power and just overcome the craving. I get the same problem sometimes, but I usually overcome it. Strangely enough, I cheat more to satisfy my husband want me to snack with him than I do off of my own cravings. So that's something I need to work on. But I digress! Just ignore the craving and satisfy your hunger with a cold yummy and healthy drink, fill yourself with some water, or if you are hungry and not confusing that feeling with dehydration (our body tricks us like that sometimes) then eat something healthy soon as you start craving the bad stuff that will curve that hunger away. But you have to act fast before you give yourself enough time to convince yourself to cheat. Hope that helps!

Muscle Maintenance
One month might not be enough time to see some real results. You might want to shoot for two to three months. Don't stop cardio though. If you're exercising 6 days a week, for example, do two days cardio, four strength. You can still consume the same amount of calories (deficit/level/etc.).... what's going to enhance your muscle building results is the content within those calories you consume. Increase the protein, decrease the fat, increase carbs by a little, not too much. Have a protein shake right after your exercises (within the hour right after), and have a protein shake for breakfast every other day. The protein shakes really really help. GNC's Amplified Wheybolic 60 extreme (vanilla) is really really delicious. Do about 1 cup of skim milk, 1/2 a banana, 1/2 cup of a berry of your choice (optional), 2 scoops of protein, and you can add in ice, or you can leave it in the freezer for about 15 minutes, which is what I do. A recovery protein shake after your strength training may be good too, which is the same as a protein shake, but with some carbs to help you build back the muscle you just tore in you work out. When you strength train, make sure you do every single exercise to EXHAUSTION. The last two reps of each set should be extremely difficult to do. That's what's going to get you some real results. I've been doing this for two weeks and already my biceps are more toned and stronger and harder. The protein and maxing out really helps. But like I said earlier, you can still do the basic things you've been doing, just alter it around a little. Once you've reached your goal, just keep doing whatever you were doing at that point to maintain. Hope that helps!

Losing fat myths
That's cool that you're a vegetarian. Were you a vegetarian before your weight loss journey?
