Hi I'm Jade! I lost 40 pounds over the past six months basically from P90X and other home work-out DVDs and am ready to lose another 25-30! Goal one is to lose the weight. Goal two is the tone, tone, tone! I want to be back to my karate body! Haven't seen that in about four years!

I recently became a Beachbody Coach after using their workout videos and trying Shakeology. I hate fitness foods, meal replacements, and protein shakes but this stuff is different and it's given me such amazing results and benefits that I love telling people about it. I'm not here on fatsecret to push it on you or tell you how amazing it is so if you are interested, check it out at shakeology.com/coachjado or ask me questions about it in my inbox.

home exercise
I love home exercise DVDs. I am currently doing P90X although that is probably a little intense if you aren't already working out on a regular basis. I would suggest looking for fitness DVDs that interest you. They are available everywhere like @healthnutmom mentioned. Make sure you create small goals for yourself in addition to your overall goal. This will keep you motivated and help ensure those DVDs don't just sit around collecting dust!

Weekend troubles!
No offense, but the indulging in whatever for a full day sounds like diet suicide to me. You are working hard all week to lose it all on one day? So not worth it. Perhaps on the weekends, you could allow yourself to have one indulgent meal. Or give yourself mini goals for the weekend. For example, let's say you lost a pound over the week. If you stay at that weight after the weekend, then you can treat yourself to a new water bottle or something like that. Try hard to track your calories over the weekend as well so you are totally aware of what you are eating! WHatever you do, don't ruin all your hard work over the week in just one day!

seriously so confused!! please help..
I would say to stick around the 1500 calories per day mark since you are working out that often. YOu may even need more than that. Many people try to eat too few calories which will just end up in preserving the fat they already have essentially. Your body needs a certain number of calories to function. I would stick to the 1500 per day and see how that goes. If you are working out like that and you aren't seeing any changes, then make some modifications. Keep in mind WHAT you are eating makes a difference. Also, you may gain weight initially (muscle gain).

I need to rant, and am I over reacting in my feelings?
I just think your sister isn't understanding your point of view and perhaps you aren't totally understanding hers. And that's okay! You both are coming from different adult backgrounds and situations and see things differently which there isn't anything wrong with. I would agree that you just need to ignore her comments because they obviously aren't helping out at all. At the same time, try not to hold a grudge against her for that. From her perspective, when you give a reason why you can't, that is an excuse to her. She was able to get past those things and thinks that everyone is just like her and should be able to also. She's trying to help you out but really isn't doing it in an effective manner. She should just praise you for the times when you DO workout because that's awesome! I know it will be hard but just try not to let it get to you too much. Remind yourself that you are doing great and ignore her negative words.

Frustrated
PS-way to make everything public! I always tell people when helping them set goals that one of the most important things they can do is face the number on the scale! Once you get it out in the open and acknowledge where you are at now and where you want to be, you will have a much more successful weight loss experience!
