I guess you could say I have struggled with my weight and healthy eating habits since I was a child! I am not really ashamed to admit that my heaviest came when I was only 14 years old and at 5'9" I was almost 250. This made growing up stressful and often very unhappy. Like everyone, I faced challenges...but none seem to have plagued me quite like the weight issue. Although I firmly believe in myself to achieve a "normal" and healthy weight I understand I will always have to be thinking about eating, calories and weight to remain active in my pursuits to be healthy. This website is great because calorie counting is the ONLY way I have every been able to lose weight and keep it off. Though I am back to 180 now, at one point I was 160 and that felt wonderful to me. If anyone would like to message me for support or advice, be my guest! I know what it feels like to struggle with food and body image. I also know not every woman or man understands the real internal conflict and pain weight problems and eating problems/disorders can cause.
