I was on Atkins about 2 years ago and loss continually. However, I stayed on Induction too long, lost a bunch of weight, and never went through the other Phases to really learn how to eat. Unfortunately, I gained a lot of my weight back, so I'm returning now to do it right.

Wow! You're no different than me! I thought I was alone. Wow!
Welcome Mario. This place will definietly help. When I get the urge to eat, I get online and come here for the support of those people who are either where I am now, or have already started to change their lives with their weight loss. It's like replacing a drive for food - with friends!

How to edit!!!
Go to My FatSecret on the top menu bar. Then on the right, under My Toolbox, go to “my diet.” You should be able to edit things there.

I did the same thing, so I went back to add my original weight and some of my losses.

Coconut oil..need info please
The cold-pressed organic virgin kinds have more of a coconut flavor. Some of the processed ones don't have any flavor at all. Its best to buy them in a glass jar rather than plastic.

Dieting...without being allowed to exercise sucks!
Jodie

I would suggest trying the Atkins Diet. You CAN eat a lot of different foods - including fat, which keeps you very satisfied. Unlike traditional diets, Atkins changes your body from burning carbs to burning fat. So, then if you just eliminate carbs, your body has to reach into the stored fat to get the energy it needs. Just to maintain your body (just living) can use up to 2000 carbs. So, even w/o exercise, you still lose weight.

I have advanced neuropathy (nerve damage) in my feet and can hardly feel them. So, I can't do many exercises that require being on me feet at all. Plus, my high cholesterol always goes way down on Atkins, and I have so much more energy.

I know people are afraid of "fat." But eating fat does not cause you to be fat. If you don't eat enough fat, your body makes its own - cholesterol. Also, your body does not store protein. If you don't need the protein that you consume, your body "wastes" it, unlike carbs that you don't burn - are stored as fat (because they are metabolized as sugar).

Sorry for such a LENGTHY post, but I was just trying to give you an alternative to your diet if you can't exercise.

Yes, I had one everyday when I was on Induction before. Of course - this is my 2nd round with Atkins, because I didn't follow the plan through all the Phases, and gained some weight back. But this time, I'm in it to the end. So, enjoy your muffins!!!!
