4 pounds down this week so exercising definitely helped! I'm 11lbs from my first goal of a 10% loss. I hope to make that by the end of May. I'm very pleased with my progress so far. 22lbs lost in 4 weeks!

GOT A DIGITAL FOOD SCALE!!!
I've been trying to eat more lean meats and since I'm keeping track of everything I figured I should keep an accurate account of the meat. The calorie counter app counts up the calories for me but if I don't know how many ounces of meat I'm eating then I'm apt to eat too much of it (or not enough). Trying my hardest to stick to the recommended calories of 1600 per day. I'm not nursing the baby much anymore so I don't need those extra 300-400 calories like I used to.

"Reward" Lunch...
My work has an incentive program and this month our reward was a lunch from Maggiano's Italian Restaurant. The lunch was baked pasta with Sausage, a Chicken dish, Asparagus in some sauce, green beans with bacon, Salad with rolls.
I figured it out and the average plate eaten by each of my coworkers today was over 2900 CALORIES!!!
My boss was pretty insistent that I partake in this celebratory event so I tossed a couple of lettuce leaves on a plate, ran back to my desk, took a bite, said "mmm delicious" and tossed it in the garbage.
I celebrate today that I did not indulge in this reward lunch. I stuck to my regular food plan and am very happy about it!!!

Down 3 lbs woo whoo!
The past 3 weeks I have focused on being consistent with my food plan. Eating only unprocessed foods. No sugar, no dairy. Focusing on fueling my body vs. feeding my mouth.
The next 3-4 weeks I am focusing on adding exercise to complete the package. No room for excuses!!!

Lunch at Applebees today.
I had lunch with 3 of my friends today. We do this every couple of months since one gal retired last year. Anyway we went to applebees. I ordered a weight watchers meal. It is a steak served with potatoes and broccoli. I subbed the potatoes for extra broccoli. Total calories with an unsweetened iced tea = 430.
One of my friends had a white peach sangria, French onion soup baked with cheese on top, a grilled club sandwich with a side of fries and ranch for dipping. Total calories = 2291
It's amazing how easy it can be to pack In a ridiculous amount of calories in one sitting. I'm grateful today to be conscious of this and to be tracking everything I eat. I have an app on my phone that I use for tracking. It's immensely helpful. I don't track on here just because the app is quicker.
Working on making a lower fat version of deviled eggs for the bday party we are going to tomorrow. Hope they are good!
