Today was such a good day. I hope my whole week is just as good. I feel good about my diet even though I had some of the chicken casserole I cooked for the kids, I didn't have a lot, and I did really well with breakfast, lunch, and snacks, and I went to zumba. On top of all that, I was really productive today, and I got good news, and the pollen count was low, so I didn't even have to worry about my allergies. Awesome day!! :)

I have not been myself lately, but I'm fighting to get back to normal. Feeling pretty good today. I'm prepared for a good week. I made my kid's dinner menu, and my dinner menu, and I went shopping this morning. I've been really struggling for self control in the evenings. My appetite just kicks into overdrive at night. It's not even that I'm really hungry. I just want to eat, and I usually give in to temptation, so I've been trying to figure out what to do about that. I've decided not to fight it anymore. I'm just going to make evening snacking part of my plan for the day. I just have to know ahead of time what I'm going to be snacking on. My boyfriend told me about Fiber One Chocolate Brownies. 90 calories. They are really good, and they do the trick when I have a sweet tooth. I also got some sugar free Jell-O, string cheese, fruit popsicles (no sugar added), and Popped rice cake snacks. I'm going to have one or two of those snacks around 7pm every night. If I have a cup of green tea in the evenings, then maybe I can get by with just eating one snack.
Anyway, I'm doing well. My kids are happy, so I'm happy. I've been doing absolutely everything in my power to put a smile on my daughter's face, and it's working. She has a new pink dress, so yesterday, I made her a pair of earrings to match. She was so happy. She wore her dress and earrings to school today. Only 3 weeks till my boyfriend comes home, and he called with some great financial news today, so I'm on top of the world.

I just did something pretty awesome, and I wanted to share it with you guys. I went to McDonald's and ordered an egg white delight and ONE hash brown. Well, when I got my bag, there was an extra hash brown in there. Just a little note... (I am obsessed with potatoes. They are absolutely my favorite food. I will eat a potato cooked any way and be very satisfied). Initially, I was really happy. I get my extra serving of fried, starchy goodness!!! lol. And then I came to my senses. I promised myself that when I got home, I would throw the extra hash brown in the trash, and that's exactly what I did. Sure, I shouldn't be eating hash browns to begin with, but I figured that would be my little treat for the day. I'm just proud of myself for practicing self control.

I can't believe it's already Friday. This week was kind of a blur. It was hectic and unscheduled from the very beginning, and I need to get back on track. I'm going to plan my meals for the entire weekend, and fingers crossed, I'll stick to it. Yesterday, I did not have one fruit or vegetable all day. I had coffee for breakfast and then I got steamed rice and sesame chicken with an egg roll for lunch. The kids had lasagna for dinner. I had a little bit and a piece of garlic toast. That's over... back to reality. Have a great day buddies :)

I've really been seriously thinking about making fitness a career once I reach my goal. Back in the day, I actually worked out a lot, and I still know a lot about fitness, even though I lost my way. I need a new career, and I'm really thinking this will work for me. I use to dance, so instructing zumba would be really fun. Maybe I'll even go back to school for nutrition. I'm going to really try to reach this goal.
