I am a 38 year old single mother of a 8 year old daughter. I have struggled with my weight since I was a child and have finally taken control of the situation. Now, after about 10 years of losing weight, I am about 25 pounds away from my goal weight of 135. I honestly cannot remember ever being this weight, and never thought I would see it. I am so glad to have found this site. I have upped my exercise and workouts and honestly look forward to them everyday. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY!!!

Quick snacks to pack
I actually saw something on Rachel Ray this morning I think may be a good idea. You know those containers that they sell with the precut veggies in them? It is similar to that. Use the container as cutting guideline. Put your "healthy" dip of choice, perhaps hummus, in the bottom of a similar container and place your veggies in the container.

I also just discovered the Larabars. Not sure you would call them an energy bar or not. But there are usually only 4 or 5 natural ingredients, one of usually nuts. So they are good for you and help to tide you over. I like them before I go to work at the restaurant/bar to keep me going.

Hope that helps...Good luck. Would love to hear the other ideas you get/have....always looking for easy/quick snacks for myself and my 5 y/o.

i am going to try this again today
Maybe find a fish that doesn't partiuclarly smell???? Is that what the problem is. Tilapia is a pretty mild fish, or maybe cod. Although, there are some fish that may be "better" for you, at least you would be getting the fish in your diet.

Am I... emotionally eating?
I may give this trick a try. I have issues at night. I need something to challenge myself not to go for that bad thing in the middle of the night.

Maybe you could start a journal or a blog to get any feelings you have inside of you out. I know I have "family" issues being a single mom. I know that when I keep up with my journal I do feel better and stick to my "diet" much better. Good luck with whatever you are going through, and if you ever need to vent feel free to send me a message.
