About this Challenge:

Swimsuit season is faraway so I'm inventing "spring jacket season" to look good when we shed off those thick oversized coats!

Completed Mini-Challenges

Weeks 1 to 2

Let's build up that stamina!

Guidelines:
If you aren't used to walking/jogging then the 10 mile mark might be a little daunting. That's okay. We aren't here to pressure you into pushing yourself past your limits! This first week is solely about seeing how much you can do in a week. 10 miles is not so bad at all when you space it out. 2 miles per day 5 days a week. That is about 20-30 mins of your day that will leave a huge impact in your weightloss and overall stamina and metabolism. P.S. Write a small introduction and tell us a little about yourself! The more personal we make this challenge- the more we can motivate each other to do well!

Weeks 2 to 3

Okay that's better!

Guidelines:
Can we kick it up a notch? Let's try to go an extra mile (pun intended) and maybe even go a little faster. If time is a key factor to you- jog a minute longer than you would have. If distance is your goal and you aren't limited by time- see if you can take a longer route or keep walking without watching the distance meter. This week is about pushing yourself a little harder and increasing that stamina. Breathe in. Breathe out. You're doing fine! Check in and post on the forum about how you're doing! Don't be shy :D We're in this together!

Weeks 3 to 4

Hey we're past the midway mark!

Guidelines:
Guidelines: We're over halfway done! Good job team! Please keep up the good work I want to hear results! I know it's tough to stick it out- but when you do you'll be so happy with the results! This weeks challenge is about being healthier. Although I'm not a fan of dieting (it doesn't work for everyone and it really is hard to stick to on a budget) I am a fan of meditation and other ways to train and discipline the body. Take this halfway mark as a sign of courage and let your mind and body be at peace. Don't get me wrong we're still doing those 10 miles- but make sure you also fit in at least 10 minutes of either meditation, yoga, deep breathing exercises, martial art, or any sort of tranquil exercise that allows your mind and body to be focused but calm. Help us and give us suggestions on how to achieve our Nirvana.

Weeks 4 to 5

That's how it's done

Guidelines:
We've learned a lot in the past 4 weeks. We know how far we can push ourselves, how our teammates are doing, how to meditate and be a better more peaceful you. Now let's try something funky! Who here likes to dance? I know I do! I'll be giving youtube video demonstrations about how to Zumba and bellydance. And if you're not into that kind of thing- that's okay. Try it with me for 5 minutes and if you don't like it then look up some other sort of instructional video on how to move your body. This will give our other muscles a chance to work out without giving up on our 10 mile/week goal. Let me know if there are specific music genres you'd like me to cover. Although I have a inclination to Latin and Bellydance, I can try to teach you guys almost any kind of ballroom dance. Let me know in the forum!

Weeks 5 to 6

So this is the end! Or is it?

Guidelines:
Last week already? I'm so impressed with all of you guys! Whether you participated or not! There will be an overall tally of weight gained/lost after these 6 weeks. I'm shooting for a total of a 100lbs! It's been a wild ride and if this was successful I may start another challenge real soon (the next one will be the official "swimsuit" season one. Tell me what you guys thought of this and whether you'd love to keep doing this! Maybe even increase the number of miles? Let me know in the forum. As always love to hear from you guys!
