I'm 53 and once again starting a diet (again). Three years ago, I had gone from a size 18 to a size 6. I am back up in the 18 and just in it. I also keep a positive outlook and tend to look at things comically to get me through :) I love challenges, so this will be right up my alley. Next time, I'm going to pick a different challenge. LOL.

I am married and have wonderful 13 year old. She's sassy as they come (teenager), but at the same time, goes to the gym with me when she doesn't want to. I also have a house of furbabies: 5 cats, 2 dogs and a bunny.

My diet/change of eating--whatever anyone wants to call it--my method for losing weight is counting calories, watching my carb/fat intake, exercise and weighing myself every day. It worked before and I really think it will work again. I do know why I gained all the weight back and that's because I let a personal problem get the best of me. LOL.

My likes/hobbies are seriously almost everything. I love cooking, gardening, pets, crafts--just living life and having fun doing it. Happiness is a choice :)

GAINING Weight??
I didn't go by their calculation's for calories. I did a little research online and set my own. I love this site for tracking my weight, my calories as I enter them and most of all for the support. 1700 sounds like a lot, but it depends on your activities. I "try" to limit myself to 1200 calories, but that is because I have a desk job. If I had more activity, that would allow me to increase my intake.Confused

I'm too carby!
I eat l/f yogurt almost every day (90 calories). I make myself wait until at least 10:00 AM to eat it and I try to eat it slow, LOL. I have to wait an hour to eat after I take my thyroid med. and I actually make myself go longer. I'm wondering if instead of carbs, maybe trying protein? Protein takes longer to burn and carbs turn to sugar and burn fast. Maybe some type of l/f meat--turkey/chicken? I know--breakfast, but it may work better for you.

How do you add a buddy?
I'm a little rusty on this as I recently came back. The only way I know is to go onto her page and there will be a menu saying add buddy. It worked for me. I'm not sure if there is another way, though. I hope this helps!

Intermittent Fasting & Coffee?
Going to try drinking coconut oil tomorrow. I'm concerned because I haven't checked out the calories or fat content (I will after this). I'm wondering how much I should drink. I have to have my coffee. That's the one thing I can't live without. LOL.

Turkey Time
This website would not let me copy/paste easily, so I would look on it. I would try to stay at 200 calories or under if it were me (for dinner). I would use low cal mayo in anything I make or even use Greek Yogurt, instead (watch your fat content). If it were me, I'd be adding onions. LOL. Hope this helps. I "googled" it.
