I'm a 43yr old (but really don't feel it) that has always had to watch the weight issue - lost out on the 'thin gene pool'. As I get older I've noticed I gain easier. I gained a lot when I was pregnant with my son ... how long can I get away with saying 'but I just had a baby'?... Ok Ok he's 10yrs old now but still :)
I'm an emotional eater so no matter how I feel food just seems like a good idea. But I'm on top of things now I HOPE. I'm exercising and changing lifestyle eating habits not ON A DIET as I want this to be permanent!!
I'm new to this site and am finding it great to talk to other people who are also on the same path and want changes and need support.
I've done pretty much all the diets without going extreme. ... well, i did go extreme once but learned my lesson. :)
HEALTH is everything!! And let's face it...FAT isn't PRETTY. I'm not saying PEOPLE aren't pretty, I'm saying "FAT" in itself isn't.
So, here I am STILL trying to lose that last 25lbs AGAIN...this time I will keep it off and NOT listen to others when they say I'm fat :)

Weighing in ideas?
I'm not weighing myself for about a month because i've been using weights and since muscle weighs more than fat I know it will be discouraging. I'm going to toning and inches and how my clothes fit.

Weighing in ideas?
Hi Pedi19. Some people say not to weigh yourself everyday to prevent 'discouragement'. But if you've lost 8lbs its working ! Smile Good for you! I've just (again) started to concentrate on losing. It's a constant battle for me.

go to the doctor and check for anemia. it may be a vitamin deficiency. have your thyroid checked as well. i have been feeling same for months and recently went for all the blood tests as well.

Need a buddy
I'm new here on the site and need/interested in a buddy as well for motivation, encouragement and conversation. I'm 43yrs old, and weight has been a constant issue. I'm an emotional eater. I want to lose and (keep off) 25lbs by April.

New girl on the block in need of buddy
I'm new here on the site. I am working on 'lifestyle changes' and trying not to think of 'diet'. My goal is to lose 25lbs by April and (the hardest part) KEEP IT OFF. My challenges are that I'm an emotional eater.
