remeber , women lose inches faster than weight. It's about how your clothes are fitting , are they getting looser?

Thats why working with weights and doing cardio are necessary.
The more muscle we have the more calories you burn.

I was depressing myself every other day and therefore I would fall off the wagon thinking that I wasn't getting anywhere. I have made a deal with my doc to visit each MONTH and get weighed. So not only do I not obsess about my weight each day, I look forward to the rush of my doctor telling me my "new" weight and bragging a little. I do however measure myself each week in between visits.

I usually do every week... and early in the morning, but I think for a little while I will do it every morning for the first week or so and see how that motivates me, if it does.... I think seeing that scale every morning will push me to think about what I did the day before, good or bad and help me either fix it or continue on with that for the coming day Smile Just a thought!

I have to weigh myself daily, just so I can see how I am doing. It drives my husband crazy, because he thinks it is setting myself up for failure. Weighing in daily helps keep me on track, because if I lose weight it motivates me and if I gain it motivates me again to keep going. Just my opinion.

Hi Pedi19. Some people say not to weigh yourself everyday to prevent 'discouragement'. But if you've lost 8lbs its working ! Smile Good for you! I've just (again) started to concentrate on losing. It's a constant battle for me.

If I take yesterday's weigh in with the one before, I would have lost 3kg in 5 days. I'm weighing in this afternoon, after work, before exercise, we'll see if it's the same.

Years ago I would say I had an addiction to my scale, every single day I was on it. It took a loooong time to be comfortable with only weighing once a week. I will NEVER go back to daily again. My scale is in my upstairs store room, out of sight, out of mind. I try to follow program even after the weigh-in day but I am going to plan a treat~none WW treat~at least once a week. A scoop of Whitey's chocolate chip ice cream in a sugar cone is calling me, big time. I want to hold out until Monday but if the call of the cone gets stronger I will get it this weekend. I will plan that day and I will eat fish at meals and Progesso light soup, low point items. To be very honest, I just take my life one day at a time. That is something I also had to learn. I also know when I get to goal I will have to be as diligent then as I am now. I am a Life Time Maintenance member and guess what, I gained 20 back so I know all my life this is what I have to do or I will gain weight. Weighing once a week makes it easier for me.

I record only once a week.... the rest helps me see what's working and what's not.

I never measure - but I think it's good advice so I'll try to start.

Also you weigh more/less at different times of the day! I actually look forward to weighing once a week. It encourages me to be good throughout the week cause I know that I only want to see a loss not a gain. Having said that it's what each person is comfortable with. If you use it as motivation then all well and good.
