I am a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and first of all I love and have trusted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. My relationship with Him impacts each part of my life and I seek His face and His guidance each morning by spending at least an hour reading His Word-the Bible, devotionals and praying and sometimes journaling my prayers which is very faith building as I look back and see His touch and His guidance in my life.
Because of all of the above, I want to keep my body and mind as healthy as possible because if we are Christian, then we are filled with the Holy Spirit which makes these earthly bodies temples of our Lord.
In addition to the Bible here are a few of the devotionals I read each morning and which have blessed my life: MY UTMOST FOR HIS HIGHEST by Oswald Chambers, STREAMS IN THE DESERT by Mrs. Charles E. Cowman, The UPPER ROOM, IN TOUCH by Dr. Charles Stanley, DAILY STRENGTH FOR DAILY NEEDS by Mary W. Tileston, GOD IS ENOUGH by Hannah Whitall Smith and JESUS CALLING by Sarah Young.

Does It Really Matter... Calorie Intake
A calorie is a calorie, however...healthy choices...vegetables, lean proteins, fruits ...are more filling and do not trigger cravings as do the higher fat, less fiber foods. If you make better choices you soon find your appetite desiring the better, healthier choices with the added advantage of a better complexion, less stomach problems, etc. Having said that we all do need some fat so choose olive oil or something similar. The fat helps in the absorption of some vitamins, helps you feel satisfied, etc. You can find lots of healthy advice for eating online or in your library.( I am no expert, just thought I would add my humble opinion)

What do you eat as a treat?
My favorite treat, actually I have 2: Weight Watcher Giant Fudge Frozen Bar or melt 5 Hershey Kisses in microwave and dip banana slices in the chocolate . ( a mini fondue !)Smile

I had lost down to 164, am now back up to 166. I am going to work really hard this week to eat correctly, exercise "some" and not sit with my iPad so ...
