I'm 49 yrs old with 2 great kids..12 girl & 20 boy. I served in the USAF for 11 years where I met my husband while serving in Desert Storm. Met him on the first day in country...we both were looking good back then. Now, he still looks good and me not so much. Never had a weight problem until after getting married at 27, quit smoking and then had my son. I guess the whole newly wed thing went to my hips, and gut and arms etc...;0) But that is my fault. I would have to say, what really got me to this place in my life has been...1. I stopped moving I used to dance, run and go to the gym before 27, That combined with the wrong food just crept up on me and when It started I really didn't know how to stop it, I think part of me thought it would go away on it's own...NOT...It's hard to think I'm 49 and 100 lbs over weight. I'm tired and I know I'm not healthy. My family has a very strong heart disease history. My dad had quadruple bypass when he was 51. I need to stay motivated and on track to get this massive monkey off my back so i can breath easier and be around to see my beautiful daughter grow into a confidant woman, and see my son graduate from college and see their kids. We have our own business and I sit in front of my computer 12 hours a day..I know that doesn't help either. I need to to eat enough of the right foods and get enough calories...That is hard. I really don't like to eat..but when I do it is the wrong foods. You know...the burger in the car, the frozen pizzas etc.. the easy stuff. But easy is what got me hear...The hard part is going to be eating the right foods, starting to move again and stop sabotaging myself. 9/12/2011 NEW DATE 1/10/2014 is the start to that journey... God help me!
