Decreased weight loss
In my opinion the scale is just one tool you should be using. For me I knew that I was losing weight by stepping on the scale BUT it really started to hit home when I realized I was having to pull my belt tighter and tighter each week.

Any soup lovers in here?
Soup is one of the oldest forms of human cuisine. It probably started with someone asking themselves the question "How do I make the most of this meat, these vegetables, and these herbs that I spent all day gathering?". Personally I'm on the Atkins diet, and I find it curious that Atkins makes few mention of various soups and stews (likely because a lot of stews and soups include starchy vegetables or flour). However, there is so much to enjoy. Good for you Gina! The best diet plan in the world is: the one that works for you.

How late is too late to eat dinner??

there is absolutely no scientific evidence for that claim, carbs do not get converted into fats any more than proteins or fats before, during or after sleep as long as the total calories balance is the same.
That's just another myth from the low-carb diet industry
Low-carb diets are also "lower calorie" diets, just like any other. That's the dirty little secret they don't want you to know (says the Atkins dieter, ironically). The goal of any and every diet plan is to get you to eat fewer calories than you expend. I don't eat after 9pm but with Atkins I'm generally not hungry in the late evenings anyway. However if a diet plan says "NEVER eat after 6pm!" or something and that helps you to keep your overall net calories down I don't see a particular problem with that advice.

It Happened!
During the first phase of Atkins your best friends are going to be green veggies. Lettuce, spinach, celery, broccoli, brussels sprouts, asparagus, green beans, etc.
