I am on the road to recovery. I am striving to get back to my highschool body, AND I WILL!!

29yo full-time college student (a vet(eran) working toward being a vet(erinarian) and almost full-time working (28-34 hrs per week), working hard to keep in shape (and get in BETTER shape) in the very little off-time I have available! Refuse to make excuses if I can help it, because those won't help me shed the pounds! My BF of 7.5 yrs and I had gotten to the point where we were breathe'ing heavy while tying our shoes and decided enough was ENOUGH!

I started using the "Calorie Counter" app in January 2011, and lost 25lbs from Jan-June the healthy way! I worked out moderately, drank tons of water, ate more fruit than I've ever had in my entire lifetime, and made a conscious effort to stay below my 2k RDI (which "Calorie Counter" helped extensively to make me double think anything that might make me go over my RDI or compromise enjoying a delicious meal later in the day by splurging early on)! I have since revised my RDI to 1800, although I try to stay closer to 1500.

It was unfortunate to lose all of my progression data when my smart phone needed a factory reset, but glad to undertake "Calorie Counter" again, and looking forward to FatSecret and all of the Challenges, which seem like they will make things much more interesting! ;D

Looking for buddies that log food / exercise / journal entries often (I log daily!), have some similar interests, and willing to keep eachother motivated throughout our goals / challenges!

"I'm bringing sexy back...YEAH!!" ;D

I need help!
I think I see what the issue is...even if you log it as you eat it (ie: breakfast at 9pm) then food from "today" runs into the next day...I don't think it's a problem, as long as you're logging everything and staying consistant. If breakfast is at 9pm, lunch falls into the next day around 1am, etc etc...go with it. You're still able to see what you consumed during that day, and that's where you find the issues you learn to fix once you see HOW you're eating throughout the day. Wink

ok, not a diet topic, but, how about, THE WALKING DEAD!!!!
@Kingkeld: Good question! LOL
@Angela: that just means you have tasty spots for them to nibble on! ;P

Love The Walking Dead and The Talking Dead! Really hope that TWD will have TTD on the extras part of the dvds when they release them (love Chris Hardwick ever since WebSoup!)

What is the weirdest or funniest thing...
hen I lost 27 lbs and found it easier to tie my shoes without breathing hard, as well as when my BF and I took a hike and neither of us were winded or had to take a break at all (even with all of the hills!), it was (and is) an excellent feeling! ;D

Why Breakfast is important?
@Kingkeld: Loved the video, "Fat Head", that you advised I watch! I found it on Hulu since your link only made it into an audio file for some reason (but no worries). Sharing the video for all that are interested. Not an excuse to binge, but a reason to use common sense =)
