My name is Derrick I am 36 years old and I live in Alaska. I realized I needed to get my weight under control when I sat down and noticed my belly was sitting on my legs. I have always been active, I play basketball and couple times a week, I do the elliptical on days I don't play basketball and I play softball. However my eating habits were horrible, I would skip meals, eat at fast food restaurants everyday sometimes twice a day and eat in the middle of the night (I don't mean snack before bed actual meals at 2-3 in the morning). So being diagnosed with pre-diabetes, being told I have insufficient renal function w/ proteinuria and high blood pressure I decided if I wanted to see my grandkids I might want to change something. My goal weight is 185 because until about 3 years ago that's what I weighted. I figure it was a comfortable weight then it might be now. I welcome buddies and conversation and I want to wish everyone strength as we make this journey together.
