I strive to live life to the fullest. As a therapist I run a group for women with body image problems and I continually work to improve/maintain mine. I found that the key to a healthy body image for me is exercise and nutrition which help me focus more on what my body can do instead of what my body looks like.
I have been doing crossfit for over two years now and it has been fantastic. I have learned new skills and become more athletic than ever; however, I recently realized that while I have improved muscle tone my body fat percentage has remained the same--relatively high proportionate to my weight. I have to blame this on my love of sweets and fried foods. I decided to join this site to help me work on proper nutrition and keep me accountable to eating more lean proteins and vegetables.
