So I finish my first 14 days of Induction down 22 pounds. Sounds great (and it is!) but I'm a little bummed it was 16 the first week and 6 the second. I expected to slow down, I just didn't expect it to be that dramatic. Got to make sure I stay focused and don't let any sloppy habits creep in.

Goodness gracious - 22lbs in only 2 weeks? That is incredible. Who cares if 16 was from the 1st adn 6 the 2nd. Look at the overall. That is amazing. We always lose more in the beginning as we are losing mostly water weight. Yes, it does slow down, but it is fat, not water anymore. How else can you lose that much fat in such a short amount of time. You are doing a very good job.

Thanks. I'm not upset, just facing the reality that it's going to get a lot harder from here on out :)

Well, I just looked at your profile and I see you are a man. Why is it that men can lose faster than women. I don't get it. I have been doing atkins for 3 months and have lost 20 lbs. which I am happy with but in the meantime my husband has only cut back some on his eating since he has been off work for the past month and has already lost 14 lbs. He isn't even hardly trying. Not fair. I'm still very happy for you and I know that it is still hard for you. I'm just jealous. :)

Yeah, I was a carb FIEND so the first pounds were easy. But I'm glad to see them gone :)

Men lose faster because they don't have as many fat cells as us lucky women....
Great job Paul :)
