Avis713's Journal, 13 June 2017

So glad to continue to do weight loss! Lost lbs since my last weight-in. I knew I did because I felt it. One day about a week ago, I was going down a flight of stairs. I felt a lightness in my body so I knew some weight was gone!

The overwhelming stress and issues I had with moving my residence is over. I am back full strength and now re-focused on my goal. NO weight gain during my stress period because I just didnt' want to gain weight - although I did eat more carbs than usual. The difference today than in the pass is that I know exactly what happens when I overeat. the real impact. No more...

My 59th birthday is approaching in 4 weeks. I wanted to be in "one-derland" but if I'm close, I'll be very happy! I am happy right now, that I weight less than I did in 1989. I guess you can say I've tried to lose weight all my life. But in 1989 my father died and I noted my weight that day because I was on a diet. In 1989 I was 222 lbs. Good job, Avis! (other than being 209 after being in the hospital for surgery, I haven't been that weight since 1989. Can't wait to get to 209!
218.0 lb Lost so far: 9.0 lb.    Still to go: 48.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 0.8 lb a week

Thanks so much Cheryl.. I fool the doctors at the hospital! They asked me for a blood sample the last time I went!

The sample was to find out what the hell was going on with my genes!

Avis, you look loke a beautiful person! I just celebrated my 70th Birthday on Sunday and folks don't believe it when I tell them, lol! Like you, I lost my Mom in 2010, my best friend, and this weight-loss journey has been all my life, but you said it right, at least I'm not where I was last year. Now, we must keep on looking ahead and cut down our portions and maybe we will continue to make progress without going back. Good Luck! Lucy 😄

I'm with everyone else. No way I'd put you anywhere in your 50s.

Wow -- looking so good. Keep it up. Remember you did not gain it overnight nor will you loose it overnight ... BUT an ounce is an ounce. One day at a time to your goal. Be positive and do not be afraid to ask for encourangement. Just like money - 10 pennies = a dime! 10 dimes a dollar = etc. God bless you !
