RE: Water Challenge - I thought this challenge was about drinking 64 oz of water each day. This I've done, yet I've failed the Challenge (only got 2 out of the 12). Next time I'd better read before I join.
166.0 lb Lost so far: 20.0 lb.    Still to go: 34.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Diet Calendar Entry for 31 August 2011:

I'm going to have the same problem,some of the mini challenges it has does not fit the Atkins Induction I am on.I look at it this way,if I drink what I'm supposed to then I have met the challenge whether IT says so or not!

You're not alone. Those tips truly work better as possible tips to help, rather than as mini-challenges. Oh well, I'll be checking a lot as "failed" as well. Mostly, I just wanted a challenge to keep the water drinking in focus for me....and that's working well!

Same here. I don't have coworkers to challenge for water, I don't drink tea, I don't use lemon or oranges in my water either. I failed about 1/2 or more. But it don't matter.

Hi Buffy, I don't think we are supposed to meet all the mini challenges in this as there is no way I can drink warm water...if your getting 64oz in a day your doing great...that alone will help you to keep hydrated..Have a great day.....Bren

I don't quit many things, I don't think I complain alot, but, I withdrew from that challege...too many criteria for me. I thought those were TIPS, not requirements. Somebody should start a different water challenge, one without such tough criteria? Who wants to continue on, knowing I am NOT going to pass all that...I need POSITIVE motivators! However, if it is working for you, I am glad it did inspire you to drink more water!

Gen, Sandy, Icy, Bren, Tracy, & GG - Thanks - I thought there was something wrong with me. I'm going to quit the water challenge and just continue drinking the 64 oz!

Sounds like a lot of us "failed" mini-challenges, which don't apply to all of us. I figure if I'm getting 64oz a day then I've Passed !

I'm with all of you. I looked at it and don't fit into the criteria. I too thought that it was all about drinking the 64oz. Tip: I have found that drinking your water through a large straw really helps. :)

I just joined as an extra reminder to myself to drink more water, I don't consider it a failure that I didn't switch soda for water (i'm not drinking soda), switch juice for water (i haven't had juice in 7 months!!!) or switch tea with water (again all I drink is 1 cup of coffe and water the rest of the day, on the weekend I will have crystal light so I can have rum) I can't fail or succeed if certain parts just don't apply to me. How can i switch juice for water when I haven't even looked at juice in 1/2 a year?

I don't mind drinking my water. It is the getting up twice a night to pee that drives me insane.

Karen - Know what you mean - but every time I go I think "there is 8 oz. that won't show up on the scale in the morning".
