When I started about 10 years ago, my weight had gone up to 232 lbs. It came down very slowly.

Several years ago I had a small stroke and started to follow the WOE suggested by the hospital. Then, because of a lot of leg-pain (Venus Re-flux), I thought to cut out most meats, ate only fish, whole grains and vegetables. That effort lasted only little while.

Had a knee replacement in 2012, shoulder surgery 2012 and another knee replacement in 2013 with severe problems and a long, still ongoing, recovery.

Because of complications I lost a bit of weight, then put it right back on after I was able to eat again. I did not pay attention to my "diet", and especially because of having difficulties walking, put on weight again.

I follow a moderate low carb diet, (lifestyle). I stay away from refined foods as much as possible, white flour, sugar, canned foods etc. My fats are olive oil and coconut oil for the most part. Fiber is very important to me, and I shoot for a minimum of 25 gr. a day.

Weight loss is slow, as I stick around 1400 to 1500 cal. a day as this site suggests. Exercise recumbent bike mostly.

In my late 30s I became a Christian, and I feel very blessed to be able to still serve in ministry as a musician on keys in a Calvary Chapel Worship Band. I just turned 76 in June.

Okay. I'm fed up!
I use the serving sizes, but in the last direction field I enter the recipe the way I make it, such as 1 cup of this, 2 tsp of that etc

Welcome Emily, I am not on Atkins any more, but watching carbs still. I wish you great success in your weight loss. Remember that you did not gain your weight over night, so be patient and eat healthy. You'll get lots of support here.

Tea, does it count as water?
I have started to drink Chai/Green tea instead of coffee for the most part. Does it count towards my water intake? I drink a lot of the tea, about 32 oz in the morning. I also drink water, but most days not the full 64 plus oz.
