It's not always about the weight. How do your clothes fit? Are they tight or are they a bit looser? Do you get tired/winded as easily or are you the same as before? Are you drinking enough water? If you're not drinking enough your body will hold on to it. Are you out in the sun a lot? Same thing as the water, your body could be holding onto water to repair any sun damage caused by the sun. I got a sunburn and gained almost 7 lbs. Thankfully that's coming/came off after a week or two. If one diet isn't working maybe try a different one. Don't give up, it's worth it in the end.

May I offer some ideas? I looked at your food diary and you are consuming too many carbs - which all turn in to sugar as far as your body is concerned. Try changing things up - look to eat much more protein (meat, fish, eggs, poultry) and much less carbs. Look at the circle pie chart at the bottom of your food diary every day and maybe shoot for 30% protein and 30% healthy fats (a few nuts, avocado, coconut oil) and 40% or less of carbs. Also drink at least 96 ounces of water daily. Never.Give.Up - we all struggle but you can do this if I can do this!

I do notice some of my pants feeling looser, but with the changing of the seasons, it could be that I have lost some from last year, but not necessarily in the last few months if that makes sense. My family talks about me as I tend to buy clothes too big sometimes as I see myself bigger than I actually am. Absolutely @ HCB! That is what I am working on. Before I starting logging (everything) into fat secret, I didn't realize how many foods, even the ones I thought were "healthy" were carb laden. I have been trying to eat more meat lately, which is hard because I love all things that are considered carbs even though technically they fall into the vegetable category. I'm not giving up (yet). Thanks for the support.

I live on good carbs and I am skinny...the problem is too much fat or too many calories. I am a fat free vegan. I take no meds for depression or anxiety. I do not drink alcohol. The 30% fat SAD diet is a set up for Cardiovascular disease. Check out heartattackproof.com Been doing it for 5 years. Am thin and fit and weight loss was effortless. Easy to maintain. Healthy. Blood work is perfect. Cholesterol under 150.

I just thought of something funny that I posted after my first round of 21 day fix... http://wandanomics.blogspot.com/2015/05/hopelessly-healthy.html CARBS are the DEVIL!

Some people are carb people, some are fat people...I am a carb eater, the right kind of carbs mind you....watch the amount of sugars in your carb intake...I would also lower your sodium intake, that will hold water in your muscles especially if you're exercising that often....and up the fiber, fiber helps to push out the bad things before they can get absorbed into your system...you can do this, it's all about trial and error....

don't give up nor give in. It is hard but take a look at your diet and exercise routine and tweak it a bit

@socolova I am definitely going through the trial and error period right now, but it was nice to see a drop finally even if some of it came "back". I am finding that many foods have carbs and/or sodium that I didn't even expect. I will figure it out eventually though as I promised myself this much :-)

I am awful about sodium, seriously, that's my biggest hurdle I think....it's everywhere!!!! You can totally do this!!!!

Speaking of sodium, I have made so many changes, mainly leaving out condiments as they are the major culprit. So, I'm going over my intake for today and seeing if there is anything else I can eliminate. Can this calculation for Brussel sprouts possibly be right? http://www.fatsecret.com/Diary.aspx?pa=fjrd&eid=1756954569&dt=16588

nope lol

I just went to your journal...I highly doubt 430mg is correct for brussel sprouts...
02 Jun 15 by member: Socolova
I looked on 2 different health sites and both said between 17-25 mg of sodium per 100 grams
02 Jun 15 by member: Socolova
I thought the same, so I'm NOT crazy lol. I was trying to figure out how the heck I'm getting so much sodium. I don't use salt and most of my seasonings are salt free. Brussels are supposed to be one of the healthiest foods ever and I eat them often.

You've already had some good suggestions, but I would add this, based on what I've found to help me find success in losing weight and become fitter. 1. Log EVERYTHING you eat into your food diary as accurately as possible. Weigh food whenever possible but measure everything you eat unless it's pre-measured. 2. Figure out an RDI using an good online calculator (Fatsecret is overly generous with what it gives you for an RDI. Stick as close to your RDI as you can, adjust it if needed. 3. Figure out a way to get in some physical activity/exercise several times a week, daily if possible. 4. Limit simple/refined/processed carbs as they are processed by your body quickly and turn to sugar. Make sure you're eating enough protein and good fats, good for you and your body works harder to digest them than carbs. 5. Drink plenty of water each day. No matter what your diet plan those are good guidelines to go by that I've learned from many other helpful folks here. Whatever you do please don't quit, the battle is lost only if we give up the fight.

Woohoo Jim, great advice! And no, dear, you're not crazy....the first time I logged asparagus on here it was the same deal (say "from fresh" as well), like 600 mg of sodium...uh no way!

Yes, definitely log everything and set your food diary to tell you how much sodium. Keep it to under 2300 per day (I average 1500-1800 now). Also, try French's No Salt sodium free salt substitute. It uses potassium chloride instead which you need. I eat a lot of carbs but they are almost all fruits and veggies. I eat very little pasta or rice.

Thanks Jim! Most of those I do do (lmao at do do). I am working on getting more protein and have been exercising daily for the past month or so. Processed foods are definitely the devil. I found that out about a year ago. I didn't eat much, but even things like packages rice and potatoes are loaded with "bad" stuff. My RDI always seems way too high to me, even with the 21 day fix I had to adjust it. But, now that I think about it, maybe I should leave it at what they suggest, perhaps that will aid in my loss hmmmmm.
