Oh body, weird and wonderful... what are you doing to me? At the end of the weight loss you wouldn't let me lose an ounce over a one month period at 2000 calories. Now I'm eating 3000 and you won't let me gain?

Please body. Explain to me. Here are my weigh ins for the last 7 days. 173.4, 172.8, 173.4, 173, 171.4, 172.8, 173

Oh body, the calipers says my body fat is dropping as well. My average calorie over the 7 days calories leading up to today's weigh in is 3003. What shall I do with you, oh, body. If I give you more will you simply take it? You are an enigma. A myth, wrapped in a puzzle, hidden by a cloud of mystery. What shall I do with you, oh body.

Oh body, you are as difficult to understand as a woman. You entice and you dodge; you wink and you turn your nose up in disdain at my efforts to tame you. The only satisfaction I receive from this little dance is the chase... the excitement... the hope, and the knowledge that you're mysteries also elude women. Perhaps you will teach them what they are doing to we vulnerable, weak, males of the species through your twisted little game. :D
173.0 lb Lost so far: 5.8 lb.    Still to go: 5.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

NM, you're correct. Your body IS as elusive and hard to figure out as a woman. And if we women knew WHY we did the things we did, I, as a woman, would GLADLY explain to you why your body now betrays and mystifies you as it does. Sadly, I am as much a mystery to myself as I am to the rest of the male gender. Seriously, there are so many moving parts, it's impossible to say why things are the way they are. It might not be the number of calories you are eating but the food COMBINATIONS you are now consuming along with WHEN you are eating them. Perhaps you have stumbled onto some kind of mysterious formula that allows someone with your specific body composition to eat this many calories at this moment and not gain. Could be the weather, something in the water, your workouts, and everything or nothing. Maybe you have so much muscle now that you are burning calories as you sleep and your metabolism is several hundred calories more per day than a few months back and that alone accounts for a big chunk of it? Muscle requires calories just to exist and fat just sits there and doesn't. Hope this helps!

But I'm a skinny little guy. :D (Never thought I'd be saying that a year and a half ago.) It's encouraging to know you guys are as mysterious to yourselves as you are to us. Maybe I can relax about that now? No. Better not.

Youre right, Bruce, you had better not relax.... ever. Sleep with one eye open, because as long as you keep consuming so much with no gain (you poor dear) we elusive females will glaring at you from the shadows. lol Never happy are you, darlin?

Global Warming. Thought so. It was so warm here this winter, I may plant peach trees this year. --- LuC2. I feel your pain. I have this one (or had when the hair was a little thicker) an extreme cowlick. This 'guy' who was cutting it said "I just got a new nephew. He has a cowlick just like this... poor kid. --- Yolanda. Sheesh. Starting to get threats from fellow posters on the board? haha. You're wrong Yolanda. It's not that I'm not happy. It's that I'm not satisfied. I think that's a positive.
