Ruhu's Journal, 19 March 2014

At the airport with time to spare... Just the way I like to travel! And , I'm accompanied by my 5 P's (pause, plate, progress not perfection & prayer) and 3 C's (curious, calm & in charge)... Again just what I need to travel! I'm slowly feeling better & was able to spin yesterday & today. It's when I'm bending over or move too quickly or jerkily, that the vertigo strikes. Luckily, where I'm headed is not a fast paced place. In fact, I usually struggle to walk as slowly as my Mom, but this trip that might not be a problem!

Otherwise, I'm feeling good about the trip but know realistically that I'll especially need to take it one day or visit or minute with my mom at a time, as I won't know what to expect until I get there, and each encounter after. Breathing & journaling has helped so much in the past, so I've got those ready in my back pocket when needed. Stay tuned... I'll try not to overload the network... Too much!

I'll be in touch when I can, but know that a little piece of each of you is with me supporting me as you always so kindly do. Please also know that even when I'm quiet and too busy to post, I'm thinking of you all & will be here again when I can.

So, to start the trip right, I'll pray for serenity (I can't copy & paste the prayer on my iPad, but we all know the words by now). And through each day & meal & moment & bite & thought & emotion, I'll pray, breathe, journal & express my way. I'm so very grateful for each of you and our special place here on FS, my family & IRL friends, warming temps, feeling better and having the health & wealth to live this life I love, including being able to travel to see my Mom! Xoxox
