158.2! 158.2! Goodbye 160's.. helllllo 158.2!

The whole low carb eating is agreeing with me. Sort of. I've suddenly remembered two side effects of eating low carb.

1. You develop a bionic sense of smell. I swear I could smell someone opening a pop tart at the neighbors house. 8 yr old tried to eat ice cream after I went to bed. It woke me up. I could smell chocolate ice cream in my sleep. Which brings me to side effect number 2!

2. During the first week you become a sloth. Last night I was dragging butt by 5pm. Granted little man was having tummy issues and was cranky and wanted to be held and have his tummy rubbed but before I would have popped a cookie and been good to go. Now? Nope. I became a sloth. I yawned constantly till about 8. I tried to decide which sounded better dinner or sleep. I think I fell asleep leaning on a cow during milking because she was looking at me funny and I think there was drool on her hip.

Now onto Day 4! Day 4 apparently equals insta-snarky-I stab you with a spork if you even mention sweets to me. I screamed at the radio this morning because they kept talking about a cookie cookbook and trying all the different types of cookies. Peanut brittle is not a freakin cookie!!!!! So long as no one tries to feed me anything sweet everyone should survive the day with minimal injury. Maybe... I have cheese, I had a big breakfast, I have yummy buffalo chicken left overs for lunch.. granted I had to smack hubby after his 4th helping and hide the rest for today but I do have some. My only downfall is not planning dinner. Luckily 8 yr old is home and she can pull something out of the freezer for me.

Wish everyone around me luck!

YES! Once you break the crave cycle - you are golden! Maybe try to eat much more protein to get the energy, or try and eat some carbs through fruits and veggies to get energy - sugar is a drug, babe!

Congrats... send willpower my way ok? I've been sick and am up 3 LBS!!! Right after I said something about my spike being lower at least. Been hitting the gym more and this is my reward. :-(. I really have to figure out what's making me so sick. If it's a gluten thing I'm going to cry. Not that I eat a lot but I can't get on the clean wagon for more than a day or 2 as it's been. AWESOME for hitting the 150s!

Honestly I stepped on the scale this morning and expected a gain. I think I reweighed myself about 10 times to make sure I hadn't been seeing things. I wasn't adding my food till the end of the day and was surprised I wasn't in calorie overload. So.. apparently.. if you don't feel guilty then you're not doing it right! Family LOVED the buffalo chicken recipe you gave me. I think it's one of the few recipes I've tried for the first time that hubby didn't put bbq sauce on! I'm definitely adding it to the rotation.

You can do it. Just keep thinking of the scale and how happy you will be to see a smaller number...

I never realized that ice cream has such a distinct smell until I started low carb eating, lol. Hang in there, for me it took about 2 weeks to get into "the zone" and then I hardly missed most of the foods I had cut out. My hubby also loves the foods I get for this WOE so we are always fighting to get to the supplies in the fridge before the other one does. Will you still eat/drink dairy? That's one of the things on my Do Not Eat list, but I have found I can get away with eating small amounts of cheese and I liberally eat real butter with no issue, as long as I stay under my RDI, of course.

Dairy usually doesn't affect me or my cravings. Then again.. everything we drink or eat is high in cream which isn't bad. I did switch my coffee creamer for half and half already, cheese is a must have, cream cheese is a sweet tooth fix if you mix it with some cocoa powder and sweetner, the milk from the farm is full fat so it might as be like drinking a glass of cream that's thinned out a lil.
