Proof that low carb is a great tool to easily maintain weight yet have enough energy to go for 6+ weeks on minimal sleep, random windows to eat, zero exercise while under high stress. Just heard two more low carb/keto success stories today. So many haters but so glad that many people are having fantastic results, I am! NSV's cannot be had any other way, period.

In fact it’s extremely SAD 😢 that you think you have to stay away from carbs in order to lose weight 😢😢😢😢😢

keto for life!!

Rosio, I have great respect for you. You've done great for yourself! Others have done great while eating carbs, kudos to all of you. However, there are people who are older(me), have serious medical issues(me), can't "just do it" and exercise it off(me) and have ridiculous life situations that give very little options to personal health(me). I used to be young, not have a broken body, be able to exercise the way I want to but life happens. At that point, low carb is a fantastic tool. My point is that most people who eat carbs are able to exercise heavily or have the time and ability to very carefully CICO. You didn't read my bio. I did carbs, CICO, 25/25/50, P90X and lost weight. After too much abuse due to exercise and work, my knees, shoulders and other parts have broken. I've had multiple surgeries. I flat out cannot exercise. Don't tell diabetics, epileptics, etc. that eating carbs is a good thing. Let's talk about that. Those are the NSV's I'm talking about. Let's do an experiment. How about you eat a bunch of carbs and stop exercising. If you are successful, I'd like you to try it again in your late 50's and see what happens. Again, props to you. You are awesome. Your method works for you and those who are young and have the ability to be physically active. Low carb works for the old and those with broken bodies. It also works miracles for blood sugar(diabetics) and the brain(epilepsy and many other issues). Eating carbs does zero for those types of ailments. I won't even mention gluten issues.

Well, today I read on Instagram three horrible comments against keto and then like you I read people with success stories with Keto. I have my personal success story and that is the only thing that matters to me, I do not pay attention to the haters hehe. And rosio, personally I eat a fairly balanced diet, I do not miss most of the carbs but if I want to eat a donut 🍩 I eat it hahaha just the next day I continue with the Keto. the other day a neighbor brought me a milhoja cake and of course I ate it hahaha the truth we are not like most vegetarians who would never eat meat if a neighbor brings it to them, I believe that everyone decides where to be flexible with Keto 😁😘

Congrats but it comes down to CICO. If you need low carb for your CI to be less than your CO then by all means do that.

Davet58 Lovely to hear how you're getting great results. I feel the same about this new way of life. Once discovered, I think it is near impossible to go back to old ways. This is just too good. Find the welness get addictive, and if I hit on a day that is a tad less than great, I question what I ate yesterday. Circumstances made me go out for lunch yesterday and I ate stuff I normally do not touch. Found gut welness went downhill, body pain and sleep got difficult... Today I was in full repair mode and ate extra well. The welness I've become used to is back already. (quicker than expected). Backsteps like that restaurant lunch makes this lifestyle even stronger and better. Wishing you continues success.

Diablo- I do understand CICO. I think what you and others do in the gym is fantastic. In fact, I'm pretty sure I'm somewhat jealous. I'm sure most people here would put health as the main goal then weight next. CICO is not a direct and instant path to correcting diabetes and brain problems(and a lot of other things). Low carb is. That is my point. There are a lot of us here that have huge NSV's from low carb/keto/Modified Atkins. I get so angry when I read posts that suggest carbs to diabetics.

Diddlee and baskington- you guys are doing an awesome job and do good research and experimentation.

Isn't it ironic that while three-fourths of the world's population struggles to find enough of anything to eat in a day and does not have the privilege of eating according to a specific macro count or in accordance with a personal ethical, that we spend so much time debating dieting philosophies?
