Cannot figure out SOME people. Chime in and tell me if y'all have ran into this...

(Actual statements made by friends and acquaintances over the last 3 months)

"You had the surgery, don't lie!" - guy actually wanted me to pull up my shirt... in public (and he didn't even buy me dinner first - LOL!)

"That can't be ALL you're doing." - failed dieter, during a potluck (should've seen what she was eating while talking to me)

"Oh, I could never starve myself like that." - said a lady (at work) who thought she couldn't survive on ONLY 1600-1800 calories

"Are you in a competition?" - body-builder who was telling me how he could get me in shape (totally unsolicited by the way, lunk)

Oh man, my boss is always on me about "How easy I can lose weight!" but it takes work to plan things out and stick to it. I'm only down 20 of my 100 pounds I am going to lose, but it's sure nice when people comment.

No - I can honestly say no one has said anything like that to me. Maybe people talk differently to women. Most people are very complimentary telling me that it shows that I've lost weight, that I'm looking good, and am strong in my commitment (if only they knew about the Hershey bars in the garage refrigerator). A couple people are saying they need to lose some weight, maybe thinking if I can do it they can do it. Again, only compliments for me so far.

I’m actually dreading this when we move back home. Also had people assume I had surgery too. 1500 calories a day isn’t starving for me lol. If you eat protein and veggies it’s a lot of food actually.

My least favorite is when people comment the weight is just melting off. I’m like no I work Hard to not over eat and to exercise routinely to look like this. It didn’t just happen.

Most people today really are rude but don't realize it - I talk to people like you you who have found the real way to eat etc and just by your example I've seen and heard ,I listen / I lost 40 a couple years back doing the same thing today but fell back into bad eating ways - I worked out seriously many years for endurance not for atrophy ( muscle buildup) - eating changes first will do most change and when your body gets to the point that exercise can be done , you do it , I should say easier - that is not to say exercise is not important always - My big point is people , obese or overweight , get no respect, are thought to be stupid and are treated that way - I was taught to respect everybody until there was a reason not to respect them - Obesity is not one of those - Stress, trauma, psychological, heredity, misinformation, career , depression ,injury are all factors that could lead to obesity / You got my total respect and have had that from day one - I know you are strong enough to handle it but the post you did is very important for those who can't - For those folks, know we are here to totally support you - This is one of the most important posts you have done or anybody will do - Congrats and you are doing fantastic -A big BBBBOOOOMMMMM!!!!!!! to you - Congrats to you and your success is epic!!!!

We've all seen and heard those around us speculating, assuming and nay-saying the discipline they see (and often lack) in the efforts we go through to TAKE OUR LIVES BACK. To all on the journey, you're worth more than all the red hearts lining the shelves this Valentine's Day - proud of y'all!
