Soyrizo/eggs/sour cream/cheese/mango hot sauce. a side broccoli/cream cheese.

Let’s talk food scales...

Any you recommend, any I should avoid?

I feel measuring out the weight instead of the amount using measuring cups would be beneficial...

I can't advise on what scales you can get in the US but just make sure they're electronic digital ones. Much better than using cup measures.

I use the scale that the US postal Service sells. It was 50 bucks and works like a charm.

@doobrie thanks. I’m going to bestbuy. Hopefully they have a good selection, the website does!! But we still can’t get mail/deliveries until the 101 freeway is open...

@clearyl, oh nice. I saw a cuisinart for $40 and it comes with little containers for measuring. I usually buy kitchenaid or breville products... I tend to be sorta OCD and brand loyal. 🤦‍♀️

Oh, I could NOT be rocking my keto woe without my digital kitchen scale. Under $20 from Target. Cuz measuring cups can lie ;)

Digital scales are much better. 🙋🏻Try heading by your local thrift or goodwill and checking out their selection! There are many people who start diets and buy expensive scales and then yoyo and donate them!🤷🏻‍♀️So no delivery required!

I measure with a measuring tape and my body is losing in inches... we have all different type of scales in nursing and yes they are very expensive and not one is the same when we put a 10 lb weight on them to calibrate them correctly so that being said I dont trust a scale as much as my measuring tape..btw Im losing in inches and I can feel my body changing...if I dine on a high sodium food such as Ham tonight I may have an increase on the scale tomorrow my weigh in day due to the sodium intake...this may cause a reaction if I didnt know that I had measured and Im losing inches.

I just use a Mainstays one that I got at Walmart. It wasn't very expensive, and works quite well. And it's red, that's always a plus. 😜 it has a button that will switch it between calculating and grams and ounces. I use grams. And it just uses a watch battery. So far I've only had to replace the battery once.

@AnnMarnae I have been eyeing or cup measuring but also staying around 15NC I feel like if I actually measure and know I can log better, maybe even eat more of somethings that I am off with my measuring

@luneth I was looking for a mint colored one to match my kitchen, since I can’t find the brands I usually favor.

@maxie I still have yet to tape measure myself... but I can tell visually I have lost inches places!! 🙈

Don’t avoid them. Use food scales. They’re highest in accuracy if you want to actually calculate calories correctly. It’s a must use as my personal recommendation
