Woke at 212.4, same as yesterday. Blood ketones were only .5 millimolar, which means I'm not back in significant ketosis yet. OK with the weight, though. UPDATE: Lazy day at home but I did do 7600 steps and 3.6 miles in the house to match my workday exercise. That may have paid off with a 211.8 weigh in later in the day. Ate 1895 calories and stayed with extremely low carbs. Hoping for better blood ketone numbers in the morning.

So what is a millimolar ? I have used keto dip sticks which I have read is not that precise. While I do LOVE being a girl it is not as easy for us girls to get into ketosis as it is for you boys. I would like to be as precise as possible.

Thanks, John, Mom, SKWhite, Retta, and Juju. I finished the FMD early last week. I will do it once a month for five days at a time. I dropped some weight and most importantly, some measurable body fat. Yes, I stick my finger. I do a different one each time to let them heal! Juju, also I found the urine strips completely ineffective for me. I am using a Precision Xtra device where I have to prick my finger and get blood that way.

Hi, John. FMD is the fasting mimicking diet. A five-day regimen of 1100 calories day one followed by four 800 calorie days. It comes from the new book The Longevity Diet.
