Sorry but that has been proven to work for losing weight scientifically but does nothing to contribute to your health. I forget what they ate but it was all junk food, the twinkie plan is stuck in my brain. Be careful especially with so much flu and upper respiratory bugs going around that you do not compromise yourself.

Please let us know how you feel during and after your calorie experiment.

Now why do that? Maybe an excuse so you don't have to suffer when you cut out junk? Haha good luck!

I’ve noticed in the past (I’m new to this app today), whenever I eat a lot of sugar (regardless of calories), I lose weight more slowly & my appetite increases dramatically. Is there a way I can follow your progress? I’m interested to see how this works for you. All the best!

You, may loose weight but in the long run you will feel like crap! What you fuel your body with=the results of either good health or poor. I am curious however to see your results.

This experiment has already been done for an entire year. The results health wise was no good.

The problem really is they it’s not sustainable to limit calories with all junk food. Because those are calorie dense, it won’t fill you up. Simple carbs cause your insulin levels to rise, which increases hunger. Additives have been shown to prevent satiety. Put all that together and you will feel ravenous and will break your calorie goal. Not to mention all the things others have said. Good luck if you plan to go with this, but let us know when you give up!

Essentially The Twinkie Diet, a professor did that way back to prove the same thing

Alright Peg can; will do. Just slipped into my first pair of 28” (size 6 F) pants EVER as an adult. My abdomen is becoming more defined. Lost some weight/inches already :). Also feeling great! Today I had a Hulk Chocolate 30 oz Smoothie from smoothie king (1180 calories) a real protein shake with almond milk (320 calories) and a couple of mcchicken sandwiches (640 calories) About 2200 calories for the day. My maintenance at this weight is 2250 five or take. Burned 800 calories training a client, running 30 minutes, swimming laps 30 minutes. I expect a deficit of 1000~ calories or so. Equivalent to roughly a 1/3 pound. See u on the other side. Oh I should mention. I haven’t eaten anything else since 8PM which was 7 hours ago, plus I won’t be eating anything until 4pM tomorrow, so my body will have plenty of time to deal with that blood sugar spike. ( thank god for my amazing insulin sensitivity which I worked very hard for). I should be a fat burning machine by the time I’m ready to go do my workout (fasted)

Not sure why you directed this post to me, but I’ll respond. Congratulations, I do hope your weight loss is maintained. I will continue to state that your eating habits are not sustainable. The long periods of fasting between eating crap food is going to backfire on you. In my business (cardiac surgery) I see plenty of thin but profoundly unhealthy people. If you manage to stay thin, I will assume you will end up in that group. If not, well you’ve now shown you are smarter than every person on the planet that has studied the effects of food on overall health. I shall watch for your face on the Nobel prize lists!
