Back to the Grind!!!

In preparation to better food choices this week, I decided to prepare my meal for Monday on Sunday evening before heading to bed.

My lunch: yummy baked chicken thighs with steamed spinach seasoned with olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper.

It was a little hard getting up this morning (most Mondays are) and before you know it, I was running late. It didn't click until after quickly driving to the commuter lot and getting in the driver's seat that the wonderful meal I packed was still in the fridge. Just my luck.

No worries, I will coffee and tea it until lunch. I dare not say I am going to fast until dinner because considering I have had no concerns about food quality and quantity between last Tuesday though Sunday afternoon, it is probably best that I ease back into a better way of eating with a salad at 2 pm for lunch to continue this restart that started with a low carb dinner followed by hopefully a 16/8 today if I can hold out on just liquids until 2 PM

Onwards.

Hang in there my friend! From my experience, better to grab a handful of raw nuts somewhere otherwise EVERYTHING will tempt you. Onward!

Thanks Viviace, 8Patty, From371to184 & tjham51. Made it to 1:00 PM just 1 hr shy of a 16 hr fast. Not bad. I did do a 1/2 hr brisk walk before stopping at a grocery store near my office to make a salad from the salad bar. I intend to do some interval training tonight when I get home before and eat my 2nd and last meal for the day which will be what I was supposed to bring to work today.

Thanks Bill & normajeanvas. Bill, If my work out ends late, the fridge lunch may make it to tomorrow's lunch. We shall see. normajeanvas, I also left my desk keys at home so I couldn't access my nuts in the drawer or my olive oil that I was going to put on my salad. Water was my salad dressing today.

oh wow...you had one of "THOSE' days.... Just a thought...re the packed lunch. I used to put my car or house key in the lunch bag/container...so I couldn't leave the house until I grabbed my lunch and keys out of fridge. Worked every time...LOL. My best to you on your "easement" back to good food. You got this...and today will be in the rear view before you know it.
