Journal : -I had an unexpected Non-Scale Victory today. I was trying to calculate my current BMI. Which I eventually did But another method of checking obese to normal calculation, (requiring a "hip to Waist” ratio or just a quick “waist” measurement,) was suggested on the same website. I was going through these gyrations as my bathroom scale REALLY REALLY did get broken. One of my cats jumped on it from a high railing . Broke the faceplate. It's digital so something must have gotten skrewed up...lb numbers just jumping all over the place. So the new one will be picked up tomorrow. When I took the tape measure to my waist….drum roll, please….another 2 inches gone…since 9/1/2017!!!!! Thank you Keto, & FS Community!!! Thank you Thank you Thank you...can I say it enough?

What does the 18/6 or others like 5/10 mean. I've tried to figure it out but I can only think it is about fasting???? Someone please tell me.

@Skinnydebbie013: 18/6 means fasting for 18 hours with a 6 hour window to eat each day (I believe). I try to eat between around 6am until 2 or 3pm so typically fast 16 hours a day. I like having my last meal early and if I feel like I need something later in the day I'll have a cup of tea. Not sure what 5/10 means, maybe fasting 5 out of 10 days?
