I am 66 years old with two adult daughters and two beautiful granddaughters . I started on an "Atkins" diet in 1971 after being diagnosed with hypoglycemia and have maintained it as a lifestyle since then. Not that I have not fallen off the wagon over the years, but always had to climb on again. The fallout of not following the low carb diet and effects of unstable blood sugar are plenty of inspiration for me. I also have systemic lupus that I have managed with minimal intervention for 40 years. But in past three years it went out of control and I've been put on medication that contributes to weight gain, plus I have felt so awful. With chronic inflammation and pain I have had no energy for exercise. I had to quit my high-stress profession and retire early due to the permanent damage. I am just now beginning to feel "human" again with some limited energy. So, making a come-back is slow going.

Need Help!
I think that entering everything that I eat or even think about eating in the food journal on this site is the most helpful thing for me. It makes me very aware of what I am putting in my mouth and what it is going to cost me. If you can hang in there on your LCHF, I think you'll find your cravings decrease because you are no longer eating sugar. I have never stopped enjoyed eating, but I do stop to think about it. Sometimes I "save up" for a dinner out or treat. I hope this is helpful. I'm sure others will have lots of ideas!

Adkins indulgence
It does show all that: enter Atkins Endulgence and it separates fiber from carbs + sugar alcohol.

Don't know about sugar alcohol, but it does deduct fiber. I think you set it up in your settings. Smile
